Another excellent video from Mr Boogies camera. The last shot of the train entering the former Waterloo Eurostar terminal was special as it brought back some happy memories. Excellent film, well done, stay safe 🤓 💙

It's not the first time SWR and it's predecessor SWT had a class of Multiple Unit with a Chequered History. The Class 458/0 Juniper EMU's for example SWT Banished them to The Waterloo-Reading Route via Staines and Ascott after Allegedly Failing to "Persuade Porterbrook Trains to take them back"

As Southeastern is to inherit the Class 707s from next year. Will it replace the Class 376s and probably cascade them to Southern so it could replace the Class 455s. And the SWR Class 455, Class 456 and Class 458 units are to be replaced by the Class 701s that is to enter service from next year. SWR should keep the Class 458s that could be used on the Alton and Basingstoke services. Or will it be scrapped. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_701 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_707

I heard that the 376s will not be coming to southern and we are keeping the 455s
@Andrewjg_894 жыл бұрын
arsenal fan tv So apparently Southeastern might as well retain the Class 376s and to use them on the North Kent and East Kent services. Or will it be sent for scrap.

@@arsenalfantv1001 I think Southeastern should still keep the Class 376s. They are still suburban trains after all.

@@Andrewjg_89 as boogies trains said previously in the video "Class 455 on the Southern", Southern have no plans of scrapping or replacing 455s. Which means, they are staying permanently until southern find a replacement plan (basically meaning they won't be used as much as they used to ). There are also no plans of replacing the 376s, they will still be doing their normal journeys as scheduled.

Do you think you could do a video at Ash since it's my local station?

It's a bit further than I am happy to travel at the moment. In due course the Reading to Redhill route will change over to class 769 operation so I might pass your way.

so if the 707s go to southeastern,what would they do since the 465s,466s and 376s have it under control or will the 707s be given toilets and run on Gillingham,Sevenoaks and Hayes routes??
@BoogiesTrains4 жыл бұрын
Who knows. The 376s don't have toilets so the 707s could join them on the short metro routes, including Hayes. That would start a cascade that would release some 465s including 465/9s. It's all about extra capacity that is unlikely to be required for several years. The rise in flexible working including working from home for at least some days will not be reversed so the historic pattern of daily rush hours is extinct.

Tbh I think the 707s are gonna run to Hayes, Dartford, gravesend and Orpington/Sevenoaks so that more networkers can go on services to Tonbridge Wells and even ramsgate so that more of the electrostars can go out of Victoria. I belive that the 376s are supposed to be going to southern to provide capacity boosts to southern metro services
@FrecciaNeraM363 жыл бұрын
@@LordEverythingtrains the 376s aren't going anywhere. The 707s are for more capacity.
