Obviously Daniel is a hit! He reminds me so much of my Dad who is now gone. But he could find humor in any situation... and I mean any! I still think of things he said and will actually laugh out loud, all by myself. What a gift! You are so blessed that way you play off each other. But you can only be serious for so long , before he will have you laughing too! The shop was incredible... and so were some of the prices.

The antiques store is filled with beautiful items and are quite reasonably priced! I could spend hours there at this store. I am blessed as I have inherited some of my parent's, Godparent's, Grandmother's' and my Great Aunt's lovely pieces. They are priceless to me. We are going on vacation this week and I am inspired to look at some antique stores! Thanks so much.

Thank you Mary, another wonderful book 📖! The antique store was amazing, the quality and beauty of tables, lamps, oil paintings and chairs. I will never understand why someone would buy boring square plain furniture today, there is no comparison to the designs of cherry, walnut or mahogany furniture. 😊 It was nice to see Daniel, he has fun everywhere he goes, and fluffing his hair. LOL 😂

I wish I was building with Stan Dixon! That was a quote from the foreword. Charlotte Moss is in the middle of a project with him, which speaks very highly of his talent! It's true, finding a quality antique store is not as easy as it was several years ago. Auctions are an option, but I love to walk around and slowly enjoy the beauty. Auctions are often frantic, even during the previews.

i'm surprised that no interest in the bedimier chest/desk was shown. imo, it is one of the most beautiful forms of furniture, and a bit of a rarity in our southern part of the country. too, that was a nice little table---really pretty good price.
