I’ve been talking down my museum/home trying to protect my treasures. And I just had to stop before I go crazy. Grab my phone and there, was this awesome beautiful video. All of Bunny Williams' interiors have such warmth, no matter how elegant they are, and never look "tortured," as Robert Kime, my idol, would say of some overly decorated interiors. I think I've committed to painting my studio a deep golden yellow, and thanks for your input. It faces east, so in the morning it might be a bit much, but I hate mornings, that's when it's time to go to bed, so I'll never see it then. I agree, the chaise longue in the Mordecai home is a thing of beauty.

Such a talented designer whose story of how she grew into the business of design is just as beautiful and thrilling as her designs. Thank you for the historic tour of these homes. There used to be a TV programme many years ago here in Australia where a panel of antique dealers etc, would try to guess what some very odd arcane objects from the past were, and what their use was. When I saw that unusual wooden cradle on the side board, I immediately wondered what it was for. I never figured it for a giant cheese wheel holder😮. Thank you for an educational tour of those historic Mordecai buildings.

Lovely book choice this week. Even a brief glimpse of the delightful photography provided inspiration. Certainly a book for the shopping list. Wasn’t that yellow ochre house stunning? I am however drawn to the green cabin and can’t help wondering how another certain green cabin is settling into its surroundings. Thankfully arsenic is no longer used in paint production….. lucky for Daniel. While in the throes of a fit of the vapours during the construction it would have been all to easy to don a pair of Victorian lace gloves, scrape off a few flecks of paint and secret them in his greens for dinner.
