I review the CRKT Sting. It is a great compact fixed blade knife. It is useful for camping and hiking or even as an edc knife. It is an A.G. Russell design.

Would be worried about it coming out of the sheath. Could not tell if there was a special motion to unsheath it, yet it seems there is a "click" on the way in.

It does sit solid in the sheath. You have to push with your thumb to get it out. Thanks for watching.

You can see where the sheath clicks into a detent on the handle. I wouldn't be worried

@@z.r0.m_0nI have this knife as well, and the sheath is very solid. Never had the knife come out, and I’ve done a lot of all-day carrying it. It takes just enough force to pull it out (I carry it to the right of my belt buckle,sideways carry), where you’ll be comfortable carrying it, too. Just my humble opinion/experience though! Stay safe!

I'd be worried about using this in a self defense situation because there isn't enough of a hand guard if you need to stab your way out of bad situation.

Yes, it doesn't really have a hand guard but you do get a fairly secure grip. It is a heavy knife as well but I like it around the campsite as it has proved useful. Thanks for commenting and watching.
