Really great review! Great demonstration of the pen. Have you tried the Sailor Fude de Mannen pen?

I have 2 of these and find them very useful, the stub and medium nibs with a feed.

Just bought one but haven't used it yet. I bought it because I hesitate to put shimmer and heavy sheening inks in my Fountain pens, so now I can just as you said.

Thanks for the helpful review, I've been equivocating on getting one of these for a couple weeks. I did just order a Sailor Fude de Mannen 50 degree which gets good reviews and am looking forward to using it. I see that a lot of reviewers and artists who use the Mannen Fude nib will roll the pen 180 degrees to get very fine lines. Have you tried that with the Hocoro? Wondering if the ink in that position would flood from the reservoir. Thanks again for the very thorough review!

I'm an artist and have been thinking about getting the Sailor Fude de Mannen. Are you satisfied with it? The pen in this review seems like a great alternative.

@@mchlup The Fude de Mannen works great. Am using one of the two included cartridges. Ink flow in all three pen positions is perfect, and you really can get three distinct line widths. After I've emptied the first cartridge I'll be switching to Sailor's converter and Platinum ink; the cartridge ink, even after 24 hours drying, ran immediately and heavily with one swipe of a wet #6 round. That qualification aside, the pen really is quite enjoyable. Hope that helps. Cheers

@@williammiller673 Thanks for the info. Good to know. I bought a converter for my Lamy Safari and it didn't fit. I was a bit ticked off so I hope your converter works great. Waterproof inks are a hit and miss, you really have to use stuff like Carbon Platinum or Noodlers Black Ink.

I only have found out its existence just after I got a capped glass nib in modified Jinhao 82mini. It will takes a long time, but definitely gonna get one of these when that nib wears out.

My pen arrived today and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to draw with. I have been trying to learn to do art with a regular dip pen and it is a real learning curve which I haven’t mastered yet.

I got one, and this is the review I published: Surprise! I didn't think Sailor was capable of making junk. This is junk in its purest form. Money down the drain. It's tiny, insubstantial and the nib is hard to remove and replace. It barely holds any ink, and the transfer to paper is haphazard at best. With a 2mm nib, I should be able to make a good, solid line; this is not possible. The nib is loose in the holder. The metal in the nib looks like something formed in a high-school freshman shop class when the teacher wasn't looking. I can't speak for performance of the other nib sizes, but this one is headed to a landfill where it belongs.
