A Ride For My Mental Health | Jurassic Coast

A motorbike ride for my mental health to the Jurassic coast. Suffering from depression and anxiety has its ups and downs, I find one of the best ways to clear my head and boost my mental health is to go for a ride on my motorbike.
I ride to the Jurassic coast in the UK to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. A trip to the coast on my motorbike on a sunny day, what can be better than that to clear my head. I pack my panniers with some swim shorts and sun cream, then set off on my motorcycle to head for the coast.
Once parked up I go for a long walk around the famous Jurassic coast line and soak in the sights of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. An ancient coast line packed with history and even some dinosaur fossils! I finish the day off with a swim in the sea.

After watching this video and listening to you Angus I realise that there are day's I sit around and start to worry about things that have no impact on my life but I sit there and worry, now I am first one say "Mental health not me I am ok" but getting on a bike or just going out for a walk can suddenly release all that worry and the dark clouds disappear, please keep the mental awareness up although minor for me I am sure its helping. Shaftsbury is just down the road from me great video once again.

Exactly what I do as well, sit around worrying about things that just don't matter and have no impact on my reality. Exactly the same, as soon as I go out for a ride (especially to a new place/adventure) I feel so much more alive and in the moment and the worries seem to dissipate. Same thing with getting out for a walk or some exercise. Both such good ways to escape from our own thoughts and bring us back into the moment. Hi Angus Got great friends in Yeovil. We sometimes go to the Jurassic coast with them when we visit and even stayed at a Caravan/camp site near West Bay but haven’t been there. Need to correct that. Oh wow! We were at Durdle Door at the same time on the same day haha. I was on holiday, saw a black Speedmaster on my way out and thought "ah excellent, I see another rider has good taste" - little did I know it was you! Glad you had an excellent trip man. :)

Reminds me of the time myself and a few friends decided to go scuba diving at Durdle Door... we got all the way down, got kitted up.. and to our disappointment couldn't see our hands in front of us. It was plankton season! That was some workout that day Tears for fears filmed their video Shout on the top of Durdle Door Great video Angus! And we use to scuba dive for scallops off Durdle Door! I'm enjoying your travel ride vids. Great that you got out and created some memories. It's so easy to stay at home and just go on our gadgets nowadays. Looks like a lovely area and not far from Swanage which is the only place I have stayed in. Lime Regis is nice to further down the coast.

hi after watching your motorbike reviews... are you thinking about diffrent bike? Well I sold my xt1200z few days ago and I really like the look of speedmaster. I'm not a dirt rider and don't do trails but I like comfort on long distance (typcal GS rider haha). What do you think about speedmaster now?

Hi, no I am sticking with my Speedmaster for now. Although I do anticipate myself owning a GS or something similar some day!! I love my Speedmaster, but I would say it is probably not as practical and comfortable as say your xt1200z or GS etc... However it is all about the looks and character of the bike for me, and the Speedmaster has bucket loads of it 👍 Hope that helps
