Twice Dunc lol. It was the council who helped as the temp lights and fancy cone decorations never had permission lol

Thanks Buddy, have had them shifted twice. I think they will now get the message. Totally unnecessary what they done but that's what happens when you employ university graduates in H&S roles, they need to make their mark... pity they have no actual life skills to match their qualifications

All these roadworks, and fuck all seems to get better. Chuck in the mix that there's a lot more cars on the roads now too and it's a nightmare. Good job we've got these bikes to glide past it all eh? 😂👍 That's a good mpg from Alex's bike

Cheers Nige, the problem we have now is road works are set up too often these days but there's no actual roadworks, but instead, they are working elsewhere ie in a fekin field! Alex gets 60+ return with his bike which is excellent. My GSX on the otherhand is lucky to get anything over 40mpg but it's well fun to ride lol

One day you'll get closer than the end of my street and end up on my doorstep. We've got Costas in Perth you know and Maccy D's, even places that serve decent food and coffee 🤔😜😊

Cheers Michael, Alex is the coffee shop junkie as he's always visiting them. We had planned to go west that day but after checking the weather forecast we made a last minute decision to head for Dundee via Burntisland. Sadly on the first part of the trip my microphone didn't work, this is becoming more of a habit these days so I think the media mod is on its way out. We'll definitely catch up one day!

Cheers Scotty, yes the traffic here in the UK is a bloody joke and it's getting worse year on year plus these utility firms are running a mock and the councils are allowing them in most cases to do as they please. The more temp lights/ lane restrictions they apply the happier the the councils seem to be. Possibly because it fits in with their agenda to restrict traffic?

@SOLOMOTOUK Hi Derek, yes I'm certainly piling on the miles with the Bandit. I've done about 4000 miles since April on this machine and the Honda has now burst 11,000 miles and its not long turned 2 years old lol. Mileage on bikes don't bother me as we're only here for a short time so we may as well make it a good time! The only downside with the miles I do us I need to service them mire often lol. Hope your well buddy

Yep totally agree Derek. Also, the more you use the bike the better it becomes. The Honda was brand new when I purchased it and that was very tight any vibey to start with which seems to be a common complaint (the vibrations in the bars and pegs) but within 4000 miles of good hard riding on motorways and the autobahn that issue was eliminated. The Bandit was the same even although its a much older bike. When Akex bought it last year it was 13 years old with 7300 miles on the clock and looking back on its history, the bike covered very little miles between the MOT's and also that bike felt tight. Alex piled on 3000 miles in his short ownership and I've added another 4000 miles taking that bike up to 14 000 miles, we've doubled it's mileage in just 1 year lol and now the Bandit is really starting to slacken off and it feels amazing! Bikes are for riding, not garage ornaments 🤣

Funding roadworks. For nearly 12 years my road to work has had either 1, 2 or 3 sets of lights due to roadworks. I contacted the council and they said it is due to their road improvement programme to make the roads better, safer and journey time quicker. I said that's fine, but 12 years I have been hindered by roadworks, at no point has my journey been safer or quicker, infact my mental stress levels are through the roof. Nothing was done. Talking of fuel, what's the usage like between your two bikes? Cheers
@BMCMOTOUK
@BMCMOTOUK 5 ай бұрын
Cheers, Dan, you should see Edinburgh these days for roadworks. It's a bloody nightmare and constant. The Honda will easily return on average about 64 mpg, whereas the GSX will return about 40 to 45 mph, which is a huge difference. The Honda is now the commuter bike as it's quick and nimble and absolutely fantastic for filtering in the city. If I take the bike to work on my dayshift, I can be home in about 35 mins, but if I take the car, it takes me well over 1 hour to get home!

@@BMCMOTOUK Yes I hear ya, Im the same, peak time traffic in the Jeep can take an hour easily, on the KTM it takes 25 mins whether peak or none peak.. Like you I find the KTM the commuter bike but the Goldwing for touring and enjoying time away,

Yes it's getting worse Dan and driving anything with 4 or more wheels these days isn't fun. 2 wheels is certainly the way forward in beating the traffic. If more people adopted motorcycles then the place would be less congested
