I'm finally ready to jump in and switch from paper to an e-ink device. I can't make up my mind which device to choose. As i visit dimly lit worksites, i need it to have a light. I have an android phone and windows laptop so interested in a device that is compatible (ie floor plan creator app). I'm still trying to get the hang of it, but i will most probably use onenote to take my notes since it syncs across all my devices. Branden, would you have a recommendation?

You probably want to consider the Onxy Boox Air 3C in that case. Here is a link to that video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZTYdap6iLd8gJI

@@bodendorfer thank you! Yup I saw it. :-). I thought that device was being replaced by the air 4c. Boox has so many options so hard to choose. Do you feel Boox would be my best option?

@@blueswan9133 based on the fact that you want an e ink device and access android apps. I do think this would be your best choice.

Great timing, I'm hovering over 2 or 3 different e-ink devices to buy and this was emerging at the top of the list. Thanks, super useful and comprehensive review, loved it

Was there few weeks ago. And bought this one. Loving it. Also if you want a grittier tip on pen buy the white tips. A smoother writing the Lamy pen

Thanks for the review! I have two main concerns that have presently kept me from purchasing an e-ink tablet, and in particular one that doesn’t have screen illumination. The first is just how bright (or white) the screen appears in a well-lit environment. In the 0:12 mark the screen appears considerably dimmer and greyer than it does in 0:26 mark, and while I’d find the Boox Go 10.3’s screen acceptable if it’s as bright as the 0:12 mark, I suspect its screen may actually be dimmer/darker than it appears at that point. My second concern is for the durability of the screen’s surface with respects to its paper-like texture. I do a considerable amount of handwriting on my iPad and use removable paper-like screen protectors to improve the tablet’s otherwise awful writing experience. These screen protectors work well in the beginning but lose their texture in about a month and then need to be replaced. Thankfully, they’re not very expensive so I can afford replacing them when needed. Would I experience a similar loss of paper-like screen texture with an e-ink tablet like the Boox Go 10.3?

Great video, thanks! I'm quite new in the e-ink thing, but with this type of informative videos it is really getting more clear for me what to expect from such a device. And maybe I can find one next week that I will be satisfied with. 😊 Super!

Thanks for your review, focused on work and productivity, that is so much more useful than others out there. In my use case, I'd love to use it as a cross-platform planner to mix handwritten notes on pdf or jpg templates with the capacity to share with other users, or adding myself notes on my PC, or my family reading and writing notes on the file as well with their Android phone or computer. So what would be your feedback around this usecase ? Everything I see out there is not oriented in real-time cross-platform note-taking collaboration (only One Note can do that ??). Cheers !

I have been looking at that too, but the Connect subscription is really a drawback for me. I don't like subscriptions. And without it the rM PP seems to have not the same features. But it is a super nice device! So I find these videos quite nice to watch and learn 🤓

First comment! Love my Go 10.3 btw!

What do you love most about it? Do you use spilt screen?
@heldersantiago65155 күн бұрын
@bodendorfer I'm still trying to figure it out, to be honest. I had been using a Note Air 3 (not 3c) and bought a Go 10.3 on impulse. At first, I wasn't sure which one liked more because the NA3 does have a backlight and a much better cover, but I consistently keep reaching for the Go 10.3 on impulse every time I want to write something. I even left the NA3 at work, figuring I'd use one at work and one at home, but I end up taking the Go to work anyway, and then end up not using the NA3 at all. Don't know why. Maybe because of the better screen? Maybe because it has a classier, more attractive design? I have used the split screen just to test it out. I'm happy it's an option. Haven't had an opportunity to do anything productive with it yet, but I'm sure I will eventually. Mostly, I use the note-taking app. It's very, very useful, especially when you get the hang of using the Tags feature. Oh, and being able to instantly add recording to the note, just press a button. Very useful during meetings.

I am ready to buy an e-writer BUT I can’t seem to find the right one for me. i am an attorney and I write lots of notes related to clients’ files. I want to be able to easily and quickly locate these notes and just as easily move them to my laptop, preferable w/o having to send via an email. Do you have any suggestions? I appreciate your help.

The 10.3 lets you connect a google drive account for automatic syncing with their native notes app, alternatively you can use one note it also syncs with your other devices that also has one note
