@@basvandersluis5662 It is 100% real. Most states allow a deferred adjudication option where you pay it but it doesn't go on record unless you get another ticket in the next 6 months - 1 year. But if you do, then they both go on the record and insurance goes up even more. We pay attorneys in the US to fight tickets for us, usually for more than the ticket itself is, just to keep it from hitting our record. My last couple of tickets were bumped down to non-moving violations (no insurance effect) but I still had to pay over $300 each + ~$4-500 for the attorney in each case.

Quotas are actually illegal in many states. Too many variables here. What was the speed limit, how much over was he going, prior tickets/traffic violations. 20-25mph over is considered a criminal amount of speed and they're not supposed to give warnings then.. But they /can/ bump it down to a regular speeding ticket. So, that's likely what happened..

A few years ago now, some local elementary schools did a unit on good manners, and for a while, you couldn't go anywhere without little kids racing to open store doors for you. I even apologized to one frantic mother who suddenly didn't see her son at her side in a store because he had run back to make sure I didn't have to open the door myself. I just didn't want the kid to get in trouble for being so proud about remembering to open the door for me.

Nah it's just a speed trap in Pocatello as the speed limit drops from 80 to 65 as you start going up a hill. Cops park there pretty regularly.

Hey Secret Santa, Nate and east Idaho news. I have been watching your "Secret Santa" videos since they started all those years ago. I have to say i have not seen one that didn't make this Disabled navy veteran cry. You guys are doing gods work and Secret Santa you are a Saint for doing what you do for all these families over the years. The gifts keep on getting better and its helping to create the idea in other peoples minds that they could be a secret Santa to someone they know or don't know, no matter how little or small the gift, its the thought that counts. We have a 12 passenger van on a 15 passenger base Driving home from Utah we also got a speeding ticket. The cop actually told us that some brands of tires on the large van rotate quicker so your speedometer doesn’t catch it. We thought he was full of it until we did a speed check ourselves! True!
