The Priest match shows why they need to do something about drafting legendaries. Either no legendaries can be drafted, or you get, say, 3 legendaries to discover at the start of the draft, followed by only lower rarities. Sure, having legendaries doesn't mean you get guaranteed wins when the opponent doesn't have any, but they are more often than not powerful enough to swing the state of the match in your favor. Had the Priest not drawn all those spells with Malygos, as well as get really good cards with Keymaster Alabaster, Trump would have very likely won. Legends of Runeterra had the right idea.
@ThomasKegeln2 жыл бұрын
He not only had these legendaries, but he got legit a dragon priest deck with dargon legendaries

Not taking Free Admission was painful to watch. A better version of Arcane Intellect with 8 demons in the deck for the upside, especially in a tempo oriented deck. It also thins out your deck to find the coasters, guaranteeing you don't draw a spell, which is the main strength of the deck. It's basically 2 hero powers, thins the deck, heals 4, and has a potential upside of reducing some decent demon cards by 2 for a power turn.
@ChoppersRevenge2 жыл бұрын
Kinda impressive that you are wrong on almost everything. 1. The "upside" is mostly placebo in this deck, as you need to hit both to get the effect 2. Arcane Intellect is a terrible card for Warlock 3. It thins out your deck by exactly 1 spell, congratulations 4. It's not 2 hero powers, it's 1 as you lose a card that you would otherwise already have
@xVibra2 жыл бұрын
@@ChoppersRevenge You're not impressive at all, unfortunately. Thinning the deck at that current choice is important for specifically your minions, so you can safely take spells that are good without worrying about not having minions for coaster. A placebo is not something that works half of the time like getting the reduction, a placebo is something that never works aside from in your imagination. Something you seem to need to use. Eating food is terrible for humans. Saying things without being descript about what you mean is fun. Drawing cards consistently already with hero power compounded with a card that capitalizes on needing to draw specific cards increases the chances of hitting the reduction. Even if you draw the demons first, you don't care, because the demons are the best part of the deck and don't need the reduction since you likely played them on curve. Besides, with a very reactive deck, you don't care about using it early either, which is why Arcane Intellect was good in mage. 2 hero powers is exactly what it is. You don't often get to play the card you draw that turn anyway unless it costs 2 or less. You also, in effect, bank mana by playing the card. You really only lose a card in the event that you could play said card, or if it was even applicable. That overstated sentiment about card draw is moot in most instances, since the main strength of it is to limit how many cards are in your deck, tempo specific answers, and tempo out cheap units. It's not to have card advantage. You really only care about cards that give "card advantage" when it comes to cantrips, or cards that replace themselves with strong effects, and seeing if that effect is ever worth it. I don't even know why I even bothered with responding, when reading the first point you said some stupid "placebo" shit. "Killing the opponent is placebo, because it only works half the time."
@ChoppersRevenge2 жыл бұрын
@@xVibra Idk what to tell you man, it's pretty clear you don't play Arena. This was card pick 29/30, so have fun "safely taking spells" for the remaining 1 card I guess. And how exactly are you "thinning your deck for minions specifically" in a deck with 1 spell ? It's literally just normal card draw in this deck, and card draw is just less valuable in Warlock due to it's hero power. How is it 2 hero powers ? you literally spend a card to draw 2, that's +1 card. Your hero power doesn't spent a card. This is not that hard. I called it placebo cause it's way too inconsistent in this deck. I don't know how you come to the conclusion that it's gonna work half of the time. You got 8 out of 29, and you need to hit BOTH for it to activate.
