The hood ornament on that 41 Cadillac alone is worth $1,000 you lifted up to open the hood and the rear you lifted up the trim to access the gas tank them parts are very valuable in the Cadillac world I have a 1948/75 series Imperial limo

I’ve been to over a hundred auctions since the early eighties and it seems like there is always a character like number eighty four at every auction some look like they don’t have two nickels to rub together and all of them seem to be fulfilling some sort of mysterious fantasy of notoriety but I think they inherited a lot of money and farm land and basically are suffering from grd… gluttonous rust disease because most of these characters won’t sell anything and their place looks like a massive junk pile, so I believe it is a mental disorder of sorts, that’s my theory,anyway.

@@ronaldhenderson9106 door handles windows hood decals grills are 10$ to 1000 $ try buying taillights or hub caps original so 200 $ car could make him $500 to $600 each just in parts.I understand your point that guy will make a profit even small one.Those cars could have been owned by a veteran so to have a piece of his car still driving the roads could be an honour.

A tax writeoff never actually makes you a profit. Even at the highest tax bracket, spending $10K to save 37% of $10K still puts you massively in the hole. Plus, I don't know how you could consider any of that stuff to be a business expense, unless he's reselling it, and then it would just be considered inventory until it was sold. I don't know what this guy was thinking. But it sure was fun to watch him do it.
