I'd honestly love to see it get the THPS 1+2 treatment. Make the controls more comfortable, tweak some of the maps for better flow (like holy shit Grind City needs an overhaul), but maintain the style and overall design and we'll be golden

THPS 1+2 I'd say was a good approach on remaking (or remastering, idk how they classified it). Tighter controls is the main thing I really want, along with a slight graphics update would be cool. I want the gameplay structure to be the same. If they can tweak the controls and physics, I think people will look at the game more favorably

4:20 I thought of an idea for speeding up or getting around quicker, so in the OG Jet Set Radio you can dash and in JSRF you boost right, well what if we combine the two. So if you have a lower amount of cans on you, you can only dash but if you have a full amount of spray cans, you can boost dash like in Future to get around quicker.😊

I’m glad we’re getting a JSR remake and a new game. it would be nice if we got it bundled with JSRF like KH1.5&2.5 and adding the scrapped fight with captain onishma and his katana, concept art, missing dialogue, etc really give the fans something special after all these years and maybe voice acting? Certain cutscenes could benefit from it and would make the characters more interesting and less of blank slates.

If there was any opportunity to do an overhaul on the presentation, I think the remake can do it. It's probably wishful thinking, but it would be a nice gesture

If there is a potential remake, then not only I want them to take notes from BRC controls (While still find a way to add momentum n free wallrun), but also have open world map and maybe change up the gang challenges (Like instead of always having to chase down each gang n spray them, each gang have a different challenge like race, spray the most graffiti in turf, do the most tricks, etc)

@@RisingSonic17 True n also mostly because if the remake is going to simplify the controls, then it might make the tag rival gangs challenge boring for folks like JSRF. BRC has a similar problem to where the rival challenges just restore to gaining the most rep in turf. I hope JSR remake n reboot tries new challenges for rivals so that the process wouldn't get too stale n be challenging tho

Midori says that there will be new features too, so i think that the remake will add new level and maybe refine the story. (Maybe like ff7 Remake something like that)

The gameplay we saw at the TGA was the Reboot, not the remake. The remake we haven't seen yet.

Ngl, im pretty excited. talking about the remake: it was a pain pass a lot of the stages in the og game, adding more air movement is defenitivly great and about the new game.. seems to be more "parkour" based. by the movement and the air tricks in the trailer

Movement is like the things that has kept me from going back to the OG game. It makes some parts difficult, but not for fun reasons. I just think better movement would just be a great benefit overall. If the new game carries some parkour aspects like BRC, that would be lit.

I hate the new art style. I really hope they go back and make it a little more true to the original, the proportions of the characters and the more realistic scale/geometry is a lot less interesting. I want them to release a remaster of JSRF.

Hopefully some day there will be a decompilation or reconciliation projects to make proper pc ports possible. The new n64 recomp project I think will have ripple effects and hopefully lead to similar projects for other consoles.

We already know a remake is coming thanks to Midori. The one we saw in the Power Surge trailer is probably that same remake given its a redesigned Beat closer to the original JSR, and he's in a reimagined Shibuya-Cho. From what Midori said, JSR and CT (SoR is a sequel and I'm sure GA and Shinobi are reboots) have a remake, AND a new(albeit) live-service game in 2026. Idk which would release first, but personally I just wanted a new game that isn't some online cash grab :[ , its not like we've been waiting years for a comeback only to get JSR with gunplay hahahahahahaha................................................ Best case scenario, the live-service is just the Online Multiplayer part of the Reboot 🥲🥲🥲🥲

Maybe they have someone else working on the remake while the original team works on the reboot
