The MJ story is so relatable. The High fives up the I-5 tour, they got to Canada, I see MJ in the parking lot like half way through the demo. I'm 13... "hey MJ can you sign shirt?" Which i had everyone else sign it. He walks half way to me then all sudden goes " I gotta go to the van" then literally ran away. All my buddies just confused as hell...

there is a birdhouse heath kirchart 'gravedigger' board from 1997, the image is originally from a comic book. i actually have it tattooed on my leg, i always wondered how it ended up on a board - if they hired the artist or just ripped it off.

i'm not a collector, but one deck i'd really like to own is the black label ben schroeder crash test dummy. such a sick graphic. the position of the body kinda reminds me of the vision lee ralph graphic, idk if it was intentional or not or inspired by or what

i got a wet willy board with a stained-glass window graphic secondhand but hardly ridden. it was a world industries branded complete - world trucks/wheels/bearings. the trucks seem like they might be decent, but the bushings and pivot cups disintegrated when i stepped on it. the wheels were soft but decent. i ended up putting some old grindkings and harder wheels on it. i was surprised how nice the deck was and how long it lasted, it was a 7.5" and i'm 6'3, 225.

@@Nollieflipp i got it in 2021, it was well kept and hardly ridden. i was curious when it was from bc i had never seen world industries trucks before, they had the devil face cast into the baseplate. deck eventually broke, but i still have trucks and wheels in parts bin. thx.

@@deadonarrival2882 yeah, the ones with black background and neon colors. kinda retro arcade vibe. and they're cute characters with '80s nostalgia. i may not be the target demographic, but i think they're cool. i liked the santa cruz pokemon ones too, i thought it was a really cool idea to put them in foil bags like cards. kind of a bummer that they probably all went to ebay flippers or whatever

I know I’m probably in the minority on this and they’ve had many great videos , but Girl is the most overrated skate company ever. Graphic wise especially. They have a history of back stabbing, stealing riders simply out of spite (BA) and being shitty owners to the riders.
