The zombie event before shadowlands release was awesome, there were patches of parties circled in towns defending from zombies charging on all sides, hunters on roofs killing undead. It was a fun prepatch event.

4:58 On April 1st, 4chan's prank was that you could get infected by interacting with diseased posts. Once infected, your posts would become disease carriers and glow green. Interacting with the "coof" and other anons that day was really fun. I'd like Blizzard to bring back Corrupted Blood just to see how people handle the situation.

I can remember the blood plague just a little bit, I had to have been like 10 or 11 years old when it happened and I was one of the low levels who would go outside and warn people.

@@disgaealikerasapOG um I cannot remember. But ppl used to drag up elite bosses to the major cities. Just to unleash them. I played a rogue and was on a PvP server. Loved killing ppl outside opposite cities while they were battling each other. Cruel but satisfying.

I also remember if Baron Geddon turned a pet into a bomb, you could dismiss the pet and it wouldn't explode until summoned again, so players would wait to resummon the pet until they get back to the crowded AH nuking everyone in the room.

I remember when this happened and unfortunately I was a raiding Hunter... I thought hunters were hated before the plague happened, but wow was I naive!!! This and the opening of Ahn'Qiraj had some serious flaws in their planning. One was hilarious, the other was the opening of Ahn'Qiraj and the RAGE that followed because people felt screwed on that one... Much of the time it seemed like Blizzard was actively trying to infuriate its players with stuff like this and trying to get into Scarlet Monastery as a low level ally, it was a battleground in front of those 2 back doors blocking the SM entrances, meaning it took time to open them and there were ALWAYS horde there!!!

@@capitaldcolon1795 The incident attracted the attention of many Epidemiologists because they wanted to study how people would react if a sudden plague occured, i think Blizzard actually gave the data, but i'm not sure. It was actually useful data too, it was used to draw parallels to real life situations. Matpat even made a video about it.

I think overall players appreciate having something unexpected happen in an otherwise safe area that demands that they try to improvise. Something they can't just look up on the internet for a solution, but actualy have to learn how to deal with themselves through word of mouth and experimentation

What if Blizzard made an event That gave a certain npc Corona virus for 1 day, and if players interact with those npcs they get a debuff that says "corona virus" but the debuff does nothing but exist. And if players walk near infected people they will too get the debuff, if you survive in game for 24 hours without getting infected you get an achevement. Would be tons of fun and very informative on social distancing.

i don't really play this game, but i'm pretty sure all the unobtainable achievements are just things that were discontinued from the game, and people take achievements pretty seriously so i don't think it'd be a good idea

lol i loved the zombie plague event. I was horde and me, a group of horde and alliance zombies made a raid and camped the horde teleporter killing anyone that zoned in. Eventually they put together a raid and after we wiped it a few times they eventually whittled us down and wiped us. I will tell ya what though when ya have about 20 zombies spitting you can heal forever.

I was a brand new baby player in WotLK. I got into that plague and had NO idea what was going on. I called my adult children who had gotten the game for me and begged them to explain why I was dying all the time.
