@@Howardpower679maybe it comes down to what it adds to the story like if all the same things in final game happened then Mario technically kills the queens sister and she celebrates it in the ending since Mario games rarely stick a sad ending so it might have gone against the tone they wanted.

It’s interesting how a cut detail like that gives a whole new perspective on a character and how the final version likely had this integrated through out the story at one point, but they instead replaced it with a more ambiguous direction for their history likely to replace this detail.

One thing I like about this alternate universe is there’s not as much pressure to find enough Hoo Beans. The hardest drink to make would have just gotten you the Greed Wallet-which I think is the least useful of the Starbeans prizes.

Theories so far (I will edit it along the way): 23:07 Maybe this was a bug that went unnoticed or the devs didn't find it bad enough to fix it, or didn't mention it in bug testing. For the unused cameos, I think that maybe there was more characters intended to show up there, not just E. Gadd, but it was probably removed because either it would take a while to pass that area or the Game Boy couldn't handle all the sprites (maybe limited RAM). Also, since Link was the only character to have a temporary kanji, maybe they were finishing up Link's sprite when the cameos were canned.
