Beelz, I was given a message of fate yestarday. I took a break from trying to beat DM1, ended up getting recommended an older vid of yours where you got a badass sword skull bleed run, so I decided to do a sword skull run. It ended up being a double miracle grail, terrible blade shards, Infinite bone, NASTY ass bleed crit build that did INSANE DAMAGE and beat DM1. Thank you, beelz, my guiding skelelight

The way i would buff Samurai is simply: Made his slash a dedicated ability that is casted by up/down+attack, like they did with Ghoul's hook, so he can have free slot for second different ability. When he's legendary, make that every of his skills (that is not slash) always apply max amount of stacks. And make his basic attack have a chance to generate extra 2-4 stacks. Increasing his "Full moon slash" meter generation would help too.

Hot take. Werewolf is the best secondary skull for samurai. Hear me out, takes a bit of doing, but starting in samurai, get 5 marks, swap to wolf, wait for swap, then hunt and final for double damage. More if you upgrade him. Nice if you want one big chunk of damage. Edit: meant single slash

All of my early samurai builds used werewolf for this exact reason. It's how we did the 1 shot boss kills back in the day. Hunt is still pretty silly lol.

Interesting you mention difficulty 5, that's exactly the one that became my "having fun without too much challenge" difficulty. Which I use to take breaks from my nonstop failures at difficulty 10.

The final boss moon (in the back ground) is the moon that we keep seeing when samurai is doing is full moon slashes... It still blows my mind.

I have something for beginners to note when starting fresh, in order to have all the items in the loot pool, you have to first buy them from a merchant at the shop with dark quartz, which is BS because it's RNG based and it refuses to give me lunar ring after giving me solar sword. Also, rejuvenating root is there too so if you want a discolored dark quartz and rejuvenating root revenge start, good luck

Something I found out doing a samurai run is: the full moon slash charge gauge increases when you hit a one of the dummies at the end of the room. This allows for infinite FMS if you have the patience to charge it after each room.

My progress got force reset in Skul, I’m currently sped running through all modes today I got up to DM5. Refreshing seeing normal mode for the first time in ages even though I beat it with 0 upgrades. Also I had a terrible run to beat DM0. Lich with 200% magic attack. My next runs I kept getting the wrong stun items in different builds, I had double armour of fear with no way to apply stun consistently and 2 runs later I had the craziest stun run without it, then couldn’t afford it in the last shop. This game is wild

this was epic. these recent vids got me back into the game. started a new save. lost my first 2 runs on dad ( my last save was up to DM5 or 7 something ). won my first run with legendary samurai and legendary sword. got two hope slayers, miracle fail ( ended up ditching the oil tree because of no respawn which sucks because dad kinda kills us at the end of chapter 3 ) had 4 courage and orc but ended up doing most like 12k something damage.... I had no idea samurai was THIS broken...also had a much more easier win with just reaper and no legendary items at all with only like 2k max damage. which kinda makes me feel samurai is definitelyyy not an S but a A or B. plus finally understood why you werent using simple attacks in your double ascetic run..... that dude can throw a whole ass army of goons but cant throw no hands

Today I learned that Biker and Brawl are a great match. Honestly would be nice to see a run or two with the lesser used inscriptions, even if you need to drop the difficulty to let them shine. Though honestly a Weapons Master Curse/ Ambition run would also be really interesting to see. Also Piety and Revenge are a match made in heaven. Relic/Revenge/Piety have been my Go to's for most runs because I am too bad at the game to not eat damage.

Fun fact for you all rider and thief are extremely good choices for a forbidden book run since their abilities the motobike and the smoke from thief they hit a lot of times so it's way easier to level the book with these guys

In a way, samurai is like living armor where once they become legendary, that's when the real fun begins. Had a random thought - How would you feel if there was a new garunteed NPC in hard mode runs similar to Arachne(You see her once(?) per act) who will upgrade an item's rarity and effect for a chunk of gold? It would give raw gold a bit more value compared to bones and it could significantly shake up build meta.

What are you keeping the doomsdays for? Two "legendaries" that rely on an ass-backward timing to maybe deal 1500 damage once every two rooms, and there are much, much better execute items. It was really tough to watch you pass up on the box and the bone in favor of those "items"

So i dont use any mods, right now Im at final act with Devil Zerker, Destroyer, zerkers gauntlet, execution axe, Olive tree cudgel, Carleon armor, knight’s determination, crown of thorns, golden sword, hero’s holy sword, Bone of courage. Running reckless posture, super baby, short hand, coziness. 393.6 HP 😂 literally can just face tank everything and with destroyer hack chewing through bosses

So as someone who hasn't beaten the First Hero once yet, and it's been a while since I've played period, I'm seeing these enemies that I've never seen before, like the cannons in the first area. Are those enemies that are now just a part of the game, or are those enemies locked behind actually beating the First Hero?

30% amp is very worth it on pretty much every skull. The only one who wouldn't care much is Champion because he doesn't need cooldown buffs. But the 30% Amp at 4/4 is very strong.

Hey Beelz, I managed to reach DM 6, and unlock the secret boss. I am struggling a bit to get this moves sets, and I was thinking maybe I should lower the Mirror difficulty, what do you think? I also think that my last run made difficult to see what he was doing because I had a Alchemist run, with Oberon, Shade, Lou, Undine&water and the earth spirit... I was thinking to call it a Oppenheimer Run everything was getting Nuked in 1 second (with the exception of the secret boss) and I couldn't see anything...
