Darwin has evolved. Since he has replaced Jota in the last 2 games he has shown qualities he never has shown before. Coolness under pressure, Workrate and trackling in midfield Passing. I screamed with joy when he passed to Salah. I think slot has him on a new path and Im loving it

Mo did do a single bow and arrow, i think he saves the double bow and arrow celebration for winners, but that maybe the single one is for equalisers. I commented recently on your watchalong about Nunez's eyes throwing the keeper and nearest defender before he crossed to Mo. I suspect it is something he's been working on. Either with Slot or one of the new coaches. It could even be something that Mo has been asked to train other forwards in. i.e. his top tips on being a fully rounded forward player. I do love the way that Mo and Darwin can swap positions easily and it gives them opportunities that we didn't have that often in Bobby's day or with Diogo as the CF.

Szobo and Big Gak made a big difference as subs. Slot made nice adjustments. Hahaha at the angel vs. devil Darwin. Great weighted pass to Mo. Perfect pass. I thought Mo did shoot just a courtesy arrow or 2, for the vibes. Wild that Trent struggled all match with his passing. Energy and effort not at the level that it has been this season either. Yet given a really poor overall performance, he still got 2 hockey assists 🏒 speaks to Trent's unbelievable talent. This match is a reminder that we need to sign big Virg, Trent and The Egyptian King to long term contracts IMMEDIATELY!!! In a perfect world, right haha. I don't understand the lack of urgency by the club to secure those contracts. However, FSG is too slow to act on these matters, their overall track record on transfers and signings is exceptional. Look at the restructuring of our midfield. They need to sort out those contracts, and right fucking soon. Ibou was a fucking Colossus this match. What a legendary performance. Still has Martinelli in his pocket. And Trent owes Ibou a pint, Ibou bailed him out so many times defensively. Great content as always Andy. Sorry I couldn't squeeze in as many jokes this comment. It's frustrating watching us play for long periods, too many mistakes, our passing still not good enough, not even close, too much reopkying in idnivudal moments of brilliance like that Trent pass to Nunez, but we are unable to carve teams open and create spaces by moving the ball quickly and precisely. It's starting to bother me that we have these nervy game week in week out where we are defensively more in control but our possessional moments and passing is unbelievably chaotic. I just need these areas fixed asap cus they will cost us, cost us today, the second half showed that the first half was so unnecessary.
