When the white top is cotton or viscose or silk ( or even with a bit synthetic in it) you can easily make it a bit creamy/ off white up to beige by washing it in tea. First wash the top so it is still damp when putting it in a tea bath. Use a few teabags, depending on how more beige you want it to be, in cooked but afterwards cooled to warm/ lukewarm water . Stir so all of the fabric is reached. Snow white is not my color either so i often use this method.

I would say confidence would come from.self acceptance, not comparing to others, being creative even in small ways, create your own style ( no need to spend lots), being kind, doing exercise, service to others like volunteering, do things that bring joy x so lucky that I live by the sea I go out early and stay till around 11.

I agree its been far to hot for us; we are not used to it; luckily in Derbyshire we had a fair amount of rain before this weeks heatwave so the 'green' came back & my office in Nottingham has air-con so been quite fortunate. I am approaching 60 (Dec) and i feel a wonderful sense of freedom and don't care what people think anymore; if they want to crIticise thats their problem not mine LOL. I find you vlogs very inspirational and i want to move to the Yorkshire coast when I retire. Love the green glasses.

Hi Suzi another great blog good to see you and your friends enjoying yourselves.on isle of wight having a good laugh.Loved seeing the glasses and jewellery.I have about 30 pairs of colourful glasses. Its so hot in my flat in Worcester Park so I stayed with my friend in Box Hill for a few days then packed another bag and stayed at my other flat in Wimbledon for few days until it cooled down a bit. Off to cinema tomorrow and hair cut Thursday having a short pixie undercut..Will let you know how film goes.Cant put my cross stitch down of Paul Chowdhry My man of the moment !which I hope to give to him at a gig when finished and framed. A lovely and happy video Suzi - thank you. It was lovely "meeting" your school pals, and I'm all for eccentricity and daftness. I lived on the Island (as it's called by Islanders) for over 37 years, I did a lot of growing up, got married, had my babies, & we bought our first home there; my husband and two sons were all born there, so this video was extra special, and such beautiful weather. (Quarr Abbey pronounced "Cor") Talking about the heat - I've always loved the sun except when it becomes too hot then you find yourself chasing the shade. This year I feel the sun is extra powerful. Because I suffer from a painful neck I frequently turn my back to the sun to allow it to do some good to my neck. A few weeks back I did this time honoured habit, but within minutes the strength of the sun began making me feel unwell and I had to stop and go indoors. I guess a mild sunstroke, I don't know. Regarding Jack's odd behaviour at mealtimes: now this story, which is absolutely true, happened to Charlie our house rabbit back in the 90's - some may think this is a little spooky but it didn't feel that way. We moved to the mainland in the mid-90's and obviously Charlie came with us. I noticed she was getting really fussy about her food and not eating it. One summer's evening, I was preparing dinner and Charlie who was in the kitchen with me was fussing over her food. I turned very quickly to look at Charlie and saw flames coming from her food. This surprised & shocked me, but I quickly fathomed the food must have been off. I only saw the flames that once, every other time I looked it was just her food. So, Jack maybe trying to tell you he's gone off that food OR it was off. I bought Charlie a new batch of food from a different outlet and she was fine. A very quirky episode.

My goodness what an amazing story! Thank you for sharing Susan. I love the sun, in small doses, but also couldn't sit in it for 5 minutes during the last few days of the heatwave! Made me feel really ill too. Last weekend on the Island was just perfect weather though. Your rabbit story is amazing. But Jack does it with every single meal and I know his food is fresh. I think it's linked to him warning Sox the Fox and the seagulls to leave him alone and him having a bit of senility! It's very annoying! x

This heat is HORRENDOUS. Its 34 degrees in Reading UK. I'm sat in a sports bra, shorts and have two ice packs on rotation that I hold to my torso until it melts...then get the other out of the freezer/pop the melted one in. Cooling down your core (hold ice on the top of my abdomen) feels so much better than trying to cool down your skin with a fan. You feel cooler from the inside out! I have a water spritzer with ice water in too. The heat really effects me, I get dizzy and headachey. Im dreaming of cooler weather!

Beautiful abbey! Timeless! And i love the bells and the blooming artichokes. The last we once bought on a market in french Brittany. So gorgeous. And the beautiful piggies! LOVE their colors. Please do not eat them. They are so lovely. In the Netherlands we almost only have the pink ones. They are kept inside. No, mud, no daylight for them. It is so utterly cruel and so uncivilized. You really can't see any pigs in the Netherlands anymore. This island is very much like french Brittany !

Love this Brocante shop…I was in Southsea earlier today and always pop in here, but it was closed!! Never mind, perhaps they were on holiday …I always come away with a bargain, often a not needed purchase but always desired 🤣 How lovely for you and your smashing friends to meet up for a trip to the IOW…have not been there in years, but having this video, it is on my list of places to visit. Yes. This California heat is horrible. It completely drains me. . I'm laughing at sweet Jack. My Emily is 12. She follows me everywhere or she's laying on her belly starting at me. I never know what she wants. HA Ha. Love all your glasses. I want to get more like you . ... Ive been wearing wigs in the last few months. My hair is too thin anymore. Susie do you have an air conditioner in your house? I live in Arizona so I have to have one because it gets up to 115degrees Fahrenheit

Of course not! We don’t have air con in our homes in the UK because we only have weather like yours about 3 days a year!(other than in hot, humid London!) However, now we appear to be experiencing more this summer, it’s something to think about. It all depends on the Gulf Stream with us so I am going to see another summer down here by the coast to see if we have another hot one next year before decking to invest. It’s very rare but our extremes are getting way more extreme I’m sure you’ll agree! Big love, x

I do my own scarf coverings and have done many tutorials so have a wee look and sure you will find something. Otherwise I’ll do one on an upcoming vlog so let me know! I don’t do so many now, the big bows now look a bit ridiculous on my although I love some styles still! xx
