I enjoyed The Serpent too, but I didn't notice the clothes. Those pants are great on you. You're right about the high waist with a short body, but they look really good anyway. Your colour sense is very good. I like the cashmere cardi with them...and those boots look amazing.

It's called paperbag because of the waist treatment. It extends above the belt or waistline, bagged or gathered. (I wore them over 30 years ago in the US) Love the green pants! Especially love it with the gold sleeveless top.

More vintage outfits that inspire! It’s motivating me to keep some sort of style going when there’s still not much to do. I stopped looking at fashion magazines when I realized us over 50 ladies are forgotten about and it sent me into the doldrums trying to reinvent myself. I’ve been trying recapture my vintage style and will be working on my hair next. I don’t like trends much because here today gone tomorrow but “ Style” is forever ☺️

Love the warm colors. I seem to only dress in block style so I totally loved the looks. My mom always dressed in block colours and I picked it up from her. We are both small and she was,always telling me that prints overwhelmed our frame. The longer shirt would go well with straight, slim cut pants in black. Thanks for the beach walk. So lovely.

Perhaps keep the main pieces the same color or as you did with the rust colored sweater and the golden tank top, it helped to elongate your torso and looked really good. =) Just not the sweater backwards. =(

I bought a paperbag jeans recently and you hit the nail on the head. I couldn’t really pinpoint what it was but I’m 5’2 and the top gathered part of the pants comes up too high for me. So it defeats the purpose of the look? But I love how they wear so I’ve kept them.

I have never really bought them on-line before but since we can't get to shops I am loving it! ASOS is good as they have lots of easy ways to send things back. I really like ASOS but worry about how cheap the clothes are! (workers' rights, ethics etc. ) but they seem very aware and the delivery etc. is excellent. The quality of the cardi and the faux leather pants are really good, the cheap trousers not so good but they look great with those boots! More soonest. x
