The team give another analysis of this weeks political news. One highlight is the surge of the grassroots which could once more reshape the political landscape in Scotland. Is it causing concern among traditional parties by challenging established norms, is it prompting them to re-evaluate strategies in order to stay relevant?

Another excellent show, with lots of good information, lots of good opinions expressed and lots of things we need to hear. Good to see Iain back, too! And - not sure if I should say this! But... good that you were a bit more positive about SALVO, Roddy. EVERY YES group is needed if we're going to get over the Independence line! THANK YOU to you Roddy for keeping the show going & THANK YOU to all on the panel! My fave hour on a Sunday! 👍🙂

Good to see Iain Back, like the new old team! Talking of flights, once in Siem Reap airport Cambodia , I was waiting to fly back to Scotland, I had to fly from there to Malaysia, Malaysia to Amsterdam (I don’t go via London); and Amsterdam to Scotland , total travel time around 35 hours with waiting for connecting flights, meanwhile my fellow traveller’s from a small Northern European country called Finland, just jumped on a plane fora direct flight to Helsinki, total travelling time about 14 hours.

Great show. Really hope the Independents for Independence are very successful and hope someone might stand in my constituency otherwise I'll be spoiling my ballot a la not my parliament.

Although it's a great idea to bring independent minded parties together. It's impossible where the NuSNP is concerned with the current crop of MSP's and MP'S. We need to move forward without them until they're ready to change tact. As for heat pumps. . Wait on the complaints coming in from neighbours about the noise they make.

Great show. I have stopped listening to the Wee Ginger Dug as they don't want you complaining about the snp. By the way I've been a member for years, but will now be finishing my membership.

Do you not think it's better to listen to different views within the independence movement? Shutting yourself off from others isn't going to benefit the movement overall. This 'own way or no way' approach doesn't help anyone. We all lose this way.

Hi I dont live in Scotland but I'm a member of the snp. I can't get to vote in an election so I just follow the blogs. Roddys show is telling it as it is. The way the snp is going is disastrous for Scotland. They need to change the top brass asap.

It's definitely true people are fed up of political parties. The reality is they'll still hold their nose and vote for one of them other than in very specific circumstances. 95% of people will vote for a party. I wish Eva good luck in the spirit of Margo MacDonald. But I'd love to see more unity in general.

What a great prog. I had not been watching for a while because ...well I'm converted and been fighting for indy since 73...so a Scottish Prism gets me stressed. Tonight I heard so many truths that I have been promoting such as Scotlands Oil...that Iain and Lloyd rightly said folk remember. Every panel member was a breath of fresh air...if we could distill that prog and force feed it to every voter we would be independent. Britain is Broke. Labour won't change folks lives ecause Britain is Broke....for us it offeres a solution to the 50% of voters who won't back indy for fear of losing Nanny for waur ....they can't vote for Unionists for waur.. Britain Broke means Scots can't divert down rabbit holes any more.

As someone who needs to cycle to the station for work because I simply cannot afford to get the bus I totally see the need for the glass deposit scheme. The country is littered with broken glass! Other than that, you guys spend 90% of your time on the podcast throwing rocks at, what you describe as, the elected (anti) independence parties. Although you made valid points, your priorities are skewed. I can't see you making progress with the mainstream indy supporters while you insist on following this path.
@grahamfordyce2399

Firstly, I understand and respect your point of view. It's good to have criticism if only to guard against your valid point that priorities can become skewed. You and I (along with every other viewer) cannot know with any certainty how the situation will develop between now and a General Election; and more to the point, what the outcome of an election will be for Scotland so far as the road to Independence is concerned. What we can do, however, is discuss what kind of outcome we would like to see. I think we have two choices: we either let political parties shape the outcome or we let a much wider audience shape it. Up until recently, it has always been the former which dictates the direction of travel. Ironically, we have the SNP to thank (along with Brexit and two cheeks of the same backside) for changing attitudes. The emergence of Independents for Independence is not a fluke. It's a direct and natural response to the deceit and corruption we have witnessed and suffered from those in whom we bestowed our trust. I therefore have absolutely no objection to 'you guys spend[ing] 90% of your time on the podcast throwing rocks...' It's essential. Nothing is going to change unless enough of us make it happen. I am in no doubt that enough of us want change, but not nearly enough of us believe in ourselves to make it happen. Folk like Roddy, Eva, Iain, Phil and Lloyd give us that confidence. How else would the two of us be communicating?
