Thanks so much for saving us from.ever booking on MSC. We love HAL, smaller ships, quality dining in both MDR , buffet and specialty dining- always able to book. The entertainment is not why we cruise. Service and the ports are also excellent on HAL. .Get what you pay for. Enjoying all of your videos. Enjoy your next cruise

Sorry if this is a little long, but here’s my MSC Seashore experience. I sailed on Seashore on a repositioning cruise from Italy to Florida last fall. Since it was a repositioning trip, the ship wasn’t full. I don’t know how full it was but I never experienced a significant wait for anything nor did I have trouble finding seating in lounges or entertainment venues. The crew members were great and didn’t appear to have any trouble keeping up with passenger needs. I was so impressed with the experience that I booked a Caribbean cruise on the same ship which occurred in April. This time, my experience was very similar to what Mr and Mrs Canuck experienced. Lines were incredibly long everywhere and were the worst in the buffet at breakfast. Crew members, despite being friendly and helpful, seemed to be stressed out regularly. I didn’t even attempt to have dinner in the MDR as I heard lots of complaints from other cruisers. The Cabaret was about the best part of the cruise along with a couple of the production shows. I frequented the Sports Bar to watch some of the NBA playoffs and a little bit of baseball and the crew members there were outstanding. The pizza and burgers in the buffet were pretty good. They could easily have eliminated one of the gelato stations and served pizza, burgers and hot dogs in a complimentary location to ease some of the congestion in the horribly undersized buffet. All of this said, I’ve had pretty good luck with MSC in the past (I have Diamond status with them) and am booked on MSC World America next year, so I won’t give up on them. However, I feel like I wasted a week on Seashore when I could have been on almost any other ship. Or I could have stayed at home tending my garden.

Thank you for sharing your experience. You have an excellent idea of replacing one of the unused gelato stations with a spot to get burgers and pizza. It would definitely help with the overcrowding in the the buffet.

Thank you for sharing your experiences! Based on this series and that last Carnival series (with the cabin that had no place to put anything!) I suspect MSC and Carnival would t be on our list of lines to cruise. Princess and HAL though might be.

We thank you for your honest review of your experience. Based on your experience I think we will avoid MSC for the time being and focus our resources towards cruises that will be a better fit for us. I won’t say that we would never go on MSC especially if we a got a great deal on the yacht club.

We just came off the Seashore and we had no one ask us about buying stuff, or any notifications at all on the app. Thank goodness. We did have serious issues with accessibility (one of us was on a scooter).

We were on the same cruise as you. Kind of felt the same way. We did think the ship was just beautiful! I believe the buffet was large enough; however, they didnt have other options for lunch which would have helped tremendously. I wonder if you had the chance to film the disembarkation at all? That was a HUGE fail for MSC.

We had a wonderful experience on our first MSC cruise last September. Unfortunately this was a different experience.
