I don't talk about AOE4 outside of circles that play it, but id say the only difference between this an chess is the reliance on *mechanical skills* . Would be akin to calling league of legends modern day chess.

I know the purpose of this video is to show the build order. But there are 2 ways to make the game totally different: 1. Gold, you got control of the French’s gold, build an outpost! They may still have enough gold to build 1 knight… but you got king and the English network. 2. Build the king palace, to catch up the speed of producing villager! Or if you going to build white tower, build it in a more aggressive spot.

I've seen an abbey of kings to 6:40-6:50 naked king's palace build that might work against 2tc civs in anything diamond or below.

As an English spammer I can only see Abbey of Kings making sense if you go two TC be it with King’s Palace or a normal TC. Abbey just buys so much room and prevents being punished from going greedy. Don’t see it making sense going white tower without a second TC as the english fast castle isn’t particularly strong IMHO

You can try it, screwing opponent with 2 Knights, 3 Longbows and a King all from the White Tower, and keep him in fedual age. Just for buying time for securing Relics and farm transition.

What i think could be viable in some match ups for this bulid like vs hre lets say when they tower their gold and fc rush u could pull a vill and tower his gold sooner the better

find the abbey of king is hard countered by ootd, as the king loses 1v1 to ootd horsemen

i absolutely love this, tho it is very similar to another abbey of kings fast castle video guide from a year ago by another youtuber, im not sure if i should post the name. he went kings palace and then massed knights and longbows. he built the feudal landmark with 1 villager and it let him get to castle at 7:30 which is crazy but you need to chill for few minutes until you get a formidable army. all in all fun build but it requires a lot of learning and adaptation to start seeing results. for me at least , it doesnt matter if i do this build for knights, or play rus\french instead. its all playing the same way under a different flag.

It just struck me that Aussie Drongo is an Aussie. How do you get good latency when playing AoE4? I started a team game vs AI today and got to experience what must be 500ms ping again. Is expecting good ping in team games a lost cause?

@@moonboy2k185 I'm fairly sure AoE's servers are the issue. My latency to Korean and Singaporean servers is playable on SC2 (around ~150ms). But AoE4 team games has consistently felt like 500ms+ so I never try to micro in it.

Solid build but if it has a flaw it's that you commit to a course of action before the enemy does; and if they scout you they can easily counter it by going 2nd tc like the opponent did. Still, pretty tight build

I disagree. This is quite a common employment of strategy where one player will go 2TC and the other will go fast castle, take relics, then add a second TC. The timing on my second TC was definitely to my detriment this game, and ideally I should have added it after securing relics (and a third TC).

Sorry weird question from a beginner: how are you building buildings without even clicking them? I mean you click your troops into a fight and when you come back to your town there is a new mill and fields? How does that happen?

Hes not playing live, its a replay of the match, so you dont see what he actually clicked or was looking at during the live game. He can do a better commentary and explain the build order better from a replay

you usually dont expect french to boom, so being aggressive works. if you can put a 2nd tc and live to tell the story you better do it

because losing here had nothing to do with the build order. a build order only carries you into the first 5-7 minutes of the game. from there its all decision making and adapting

@@Tremuska He got 4 relics and still won the first big fight. So the start was decent, just bad decision making then... ^^ He did talk about a 2nd (or 3rd) tc, but he didnt do it. And he couldnt force it on the 2nd tc of the french player.

Yeah idk what these guys are on about. I had the same thought process.. at least show it working. He lost to a normal 2 tc French when French are terrible right now and English are strong. Why anyone would copy this build order eludes me.

This build is great, but I much prefer the AoK into 5min 2TC into King's Palace Boom. Kicked so many dia II~III's asses with this build they least expect the AoK
