10 years before I started playing disc golf, I was sitting at a park picnic table with some friends while we waited for the next round of a Pokemon tournament to start. Behind us was a disc golf hole, but we didn't even notice until a group started teeing off, and at that point we started asking each other if they knew what was going on. The last guy to tee off threw a super high hyzer-shot, almost over our table, straight into the bottom of the basket. Both groups went crazy (us and the golfers). Unless you have never been outside or participated in sports of any kind, you should be able to appreciate a throw-in beyond 100 feet.

Hunter, go watch the old reality show, The Mole. It’s basically the imposter game. Each episode they are playing various games in order to put more money into the pot and the Mole is trying to secretly sabotage the games. The way they handle the player elimination is they have to take a quiz ABOUT the mole. So they have to figure out who the mole is and also remember things they did or said in that episode. The player who scored the worst on the quiz is eliminated. What makes this work for one is that the mole can’t get eliminated early. Also, the incentive is always to figure out who the mole is and not to vote out the weakest player. At the final episode there is always only 3 players. One is the Mole, one is the winner, and one is the final elimination. It’s a fun show.

I've got to show major love to Foundation for the Imposter Show. It's the best piece of disc golf content ever made, CERTAINLY outside of tournament coverage but even beating a lot of that. The fact that I just want to hear more talk about it after it's done is raw proof. Great job guys, I can't wait until next year!

Mikey was a total imposter non-imposter. He acted so much like an imposter throughout the show. Smirking a lot which to me appeared like an imposter struggling to lie, being quick to point fingers and very vocally, the offering money to get suspicion away from him, etc. The entire time I was convinced it was him.
@danielpenrodii2389Ай бұрын
His quick and sudden preachy attitude of informing everybody his money would go to others was a tactic to make people feel bad for ever voting for him. Even though he did split the money, saying it suddenly and multiple times was a tactic.
@deadewok02Ай бұрын
ooo...i REALLY like Brodie's combine idea. have it where each station builds money into each individual's personal pot based on their performance (including the imposter) so everyone really has incentive to try. each person carries their pot through to add to any successful winnings.
@andrewboehme8684Ай бұрын
and you can use that episode to introduce the audience to the players. Like give them an intro.
@colsonriversАй бұрын
If you do the combine before they pull the imposter it would help to be more impartial too
@danielpenrodii2389Ай бұрын
It’s not a terrible idea, I just think if we know what the individual skill sets are in that presentation then it leaves less for on the course. Somebody who goes from pure’ing the combine shots to missing every gap on the course would stand out instantly whereas trying to figure out the skillset as a factor of the game.
@danielpenrodii2389Ай бұрын
Also, Brodie wanting that is because he is a pro and everybody else was a stranger that’s an amateur. Everybody had an expectation of his skillset from day 1 whereas he had to figure out the skillset of everybody in the game.
@deadewok02Ай бұрын
@@danielpenrodii2389 idk I still think the game would be far more entertaining to watch if people had some grasp of how each other perform under pressure. In every imposter video I've seen until this series everyone knew how each other played and personally I find that more entertaining.

The nightmare scenario I had in my mind while watching the last episode of the imposter series was that if Mikey would have been the imposter and he just didn't care. That would have ruined the whole purpose of the show and I wouldn't have put it past his personage. He'd already given away his possible winnings to others which in itself already was a bore, series altering move to announce. Don't care if he'd done it afterwards without announcing it, but announcing it mid series was a kick to the content creator nuts and I personally found it infuriating to watch someone making his own rules like that because it did affect his standings which automatically affects the standings of other players.
@danielpenrodii2389Ай бұрын
I figured it was a tactic to make people feel bad for ever voting for him. Whether he did it or not, he was super preachy. If they did the imposter show again, they need to make everybody stay together to avoid these secret groups. Idea for Imposter disc golf is at the beginning of the next round they can anonymously vote to KNOW if the imposter is in the game still. The imposter would obviously not get to vote so you'd have to fake them voting but it should be anonymous as well. THE COST is they lose some money from the pot OR the line they have to hit for the next round is even HARDER.

HOT TAKE, next series for Imposter Have them play 1 round, as a round robin, NO IMPOSTER. Then draw for imposter/not imposter, and play the game from there on. Also, to make it more of a challenge, start or end each episode with a immunity challenge. 1 episode is where it can only be used on yourself, and another where IT HAS TO BE USED ON ANOTHER PLAYER. Each week, the game(inside the game) becomes more and more important as you can't just judge the round results.
@JupiterEHАй бұрын
To combat people forgetting what happened, before voting you guys could play a lowlight reel of what happened in the round for the players. could be pretty funny
@yolobutton2451Ай бұрын
Traditionally in the voting if there is a split/tie then no one is voted out so that was kinda strange. I also think that the last vote making Trevor’s vote not count isn’t fair because if he plays well enough that people don’t know for sure and he can split a vote so no one goes out. He deserves to win IMO

Intent of the phone call. We started out talking about the round a little then asked, do any of us plan on voting for each other? Everyone said no. I then said, for the sake of having a safe space at the house that we don't have to be on guard 24/7, do we want to setup something where if one of us is lying to the others, they give $50 to the others (as the imposter had $1k already) just to lessen potentially resentment and help us realize that it's just a game. Gary and I were for it, Larkin and Joel weren't completely, so we agreed to continue as we were. If anyone said they were suspicious of anyone in the group (which they could have wanted to hide, completely fair) I would not have brought anything up at all.

@mattmay6348Ай бұрын
I think voting non imposters out, should give $250 to the imposter. That way you know the imposter is in play, and they earn for surviving. I felt Hunter saying the imposter was still alive felt odd, but this rule eliminates that and lets people know right away that they just killed a non imposters hopes. It also, helps keep the audience in the guessing the imposter game, which drives interest.

They probably voted him off because he fn annoying to be around.

Play a contact sport at a high enough level and you will have almost zero issue with how he was speaking in the midst of a competition. It’s disc golf and a huge portion of players aren’t familiar with that though, so they get offended by very little. Also, keep in mind Brodie was there to try to stir the pot a bit for the sake of the content and his own goal was to make some people uncomfortable to point out if they were or weren’t the imposter.
