To an untrained eye, it doesn't look much different from the surrounding scenery. But this area within one of Utah's national parks is so important to scientists that the National Park Service closed it off to the public in 1993.

Which Native Tribe was this taken from? It's a great idea but seems off the DNR has explicit access. Any sweetgrass growing there? I hear we are losing our sweetgrass.

This land is your land, this land is my land... except when there is a secret wilderness paradise, scientist research, park service folks only area, to "study" for decades- then, only a special few can view and enjoy it. Preserved, studied and protected = you'll never see it if you're a regular joe.

Interesting, cows/bovines get alot of blame but this undisturbed place seems to have little grass. Lots of tough sagebrush/cactus. Unexpected.

It's your property, but you'll get arrested if you go there. And people tolerate that!

If the Climate was warming; there would be more evaporation. Which would produce more rain. Deserts?

nah, 38°05'40.1"N 109°50'24.0"W freedom of information. Freedom of speech. Reduce government overreach and media censorship and suppression of free speech. KSL, like any journalist outlet, should have deeply rooted beliefs to protect 1st amendment rights by sharing information not widely available to the the general public and challenging authoritarian over reach, elitism, and censorship at every opportunity in society.
