A sectarian enters the hermit's house and has a divine revelation | Elder Proclu

In this rare video recording, Elder Proclu Nicau, a Romanian monk and hermit, recounts the night when a sectarian man entered his house, had a revelation and eventually got converted to Orthodox Christianity. Fr. Proclu fell asleep in the Lord in 2017.

I used to be agnostic denying God because of my hard life. At 22 years old i felt the need to find God again but i was confused because had protestant telling me how God has denied me because my infact baptism is not correct and i should baptise again. That day i prayed to God to show me His will if i should be baptised again or not. I had a dream like i was suffering with pain and many voices in my head and i saw this church on front of me and at the candles part was standing Theotokos saying to me "All you have to do is confess and repent" i entered the church and i saw our Lord Jesus Christ sitting in a throne of light where the altar is, i went on my knees praying for God to have mercy on me and there i saw this demon coming out of trying to seduce me to stop praying to God shape shifting to all my lustful desires but God helped me. Since then i have come back to orthodoxy Glory To God ☦️

I sat down with Elder Proclu in 2016. He told me about how God had spoken to him through a chicken in Romanian telling him to become a monk. He said God can speak in mysterious ways. He was very humble. He couldn't see much. I remember his cell covered with icons and there were bags of pufuleț brought by visitors as a gift. All the village children knew of him and they gave us directions how to find him. May he pray for us sinners.

One of the most important takeaways from this video is the message about intelligence and education. An intelligent, educated mind that is not in communion with God is nothing but a toy for Satan. You can't outwit Satan because he possesses many advantages over you. Intelligence is a tool, and any tool can be misused for evil purposes. Even the most educated, most ingenious people can become utterly possessed by Satan if they are not actively seeking God, thinking about God and what He wants from us, and attempting to center their life around God.

Most of divine appearences in dreams are traps of the evil one. It takes decades even for the most dedicated and disciplined monks to receive such honor. St.Paisios once said that he had numerous dreams like that but most of them ( if not all of them ) were the devil's doing. Yes, he is Romanian, but has an accent. Romania has regions, and each region has a specific accent, and specific words (called 'regionalisme' ). He is from Moldova (Romanian Moldova), and has a strong and beautiful local accent. And Romanian is a latin language, and yeah, you will understand some.

So, should you reject what God has to say to you, if God is not polite enough to keep His mouth shut until you decide to pick up a Bible and read? I 1st became a Christian not by reading the Scripture, or listening to a sermon, but by a series of vivid dreams. Actually, I only learned to read after I became a Christian because I wanted to read the Scriptures. God called me to His Church while I was still incapable of reading.

@@reylambarte5615 I had no intention to attempt to prove to you my private revelation from God, as it was just that a private revelation. It has no significants to anyone but me. It was not a new revelation like Joseph Smith or Mohamed or even like Fatima. At the time I was 12 years old, I was not a Christian, I had my own private religion, I believed in God and prayed on a regular basis. My father was a strong Scientific Fundamentalist Atheist, my mother was a practical Atheist, I had not had any religious instruction in my life. The house I lived in as a child was haunted, it was very difficult for me to sleep as many terrifying paranormal events would take place in my room at night. Well I began to have dreams that God was more powerful than the demons, and that I should receive instruction in the Christian Faith and Baptism. I converted to Christianity out of Terror. I converted because I hated the demons that would beat me up at night. I took refuge in God. Now, if God would have waited until I would read the Bible to reveal Himself to me that might be an event that would never take place. Actually, I would probably long since committed suicide as I had already planned how I would kill myself. It was at Church that I learned that suicide is the type of sin that would put me in Hell for all eternity. Today I have a degree in Theology.

@@adolphCat with your story God uses your dreams to reveal Himself to you and you became a christ believer because of that congratulation and welcome to the brotherhood in Jesus. Before the creation of the earth by His grace God knows already His elects and in His appointed times His elects shall be born to live and He shall reveal Himself to save us from damnation because of sin. So go and make yourself mature to His words. The bible is the complete words of God because it was His son who sealed revealation of His will. No one in this world is more qualified than Jesus to teach new revealation from God. We have nothing to do now but to learn the words of God, believe and obey it.

@@catalyn080 I don't understand your criticism of me. I fully understand that people are converted to Christianity in all kinds of ways. I never made any statement that suggests that the way God converted me was normative. Actually, I have not come across many conversion accounts that mirror mine. The only ones similar to mine that I have come across, have been from Black Africans living in Africa, mostly University students. One black University student told the class for instance how, he was looking for a prostitute one night, and he hired what he believed was a prostitute only to find out when he was about to have sex with her that she wasn't even human, but an evil spirit, this terrified him so much that he asked the Church for instruction and Baptism and has lived his life since than as a godly Christian man. He testified he had no interest in Christianity before this experience. This being like my converting to Christianity as a result of terror. I have made and habitually make very little effort to convert people to my point of view in religion. I do however, advocate for Historical Christianity. But in matters that can't be proven through the Scriptures or the Tradition of the Church in other words private theological opinions, I make no effort to get people to believe what I believe, I may voice such opinions, however if I believe another person will benefit from hearing them. Not all people are converted because of a good sermon or by deciding to read the bible one day, or because someone invited them to Church. Some people are converted to God because of the events of their lives, their own experiences. God is not always polite or easy going. Many times the people who find God were not even looking for God. What do you think about the black University Student that found God in the midst of sin, a man without any interest in Christianity whatsoever until he was confronted by an evil spirit that had taken the form of a human female, pretending to be a prostitute.
