I did not go to the dermatologist, I just took out all the active ingrediente that i used before (Retinol, AHA and vitamin C), I kept my Skin moisturized all the Time, I did not use any makeup and after 3 days is almost 100% back to normal. Very informative about the eye area. For hyperpigmentation and acne scars, is it better to use vitamin c (THD) or arbutin ? Or is it okay to do both in different times ? Also is massage on the face okay with acne skin? Thank you.
@devon.pfeifer5 жыл бұрын
Sherra, if you can use them both that is great. Vitamin C for daytime to protect from the sun and free radicals with your spf, and a melanin suppressant like arbutin at night would be nice. They work hand in hand to help with that. But not everyone can use both.

Hi Nerida, I love your videos and am currently in school to become an esthetician! I myself have mild rosacea as well as some broken capillaries on my cheeks & nose. I'm very interested in purchasing the q flavonoid complex from rejuvi. But I heard in one of your other videos that your skin has to build up to it or something like that? That your skin has to get to a certain place before you start the q flavonoid complex? Will the q flavonoid be good to help control my red cheeks? I know you've never seen my skin (and if I lived down in LA area I'd 100% get a facial by you) but from what I've told you about my cheeks being always flushed and a bit red, is my skin in the right stage for the q flavonoid? Hope to hear back from you, love your videos and knowledge of skin!
@NeridaJoySkincare5 жыл бұрын
The q is gentle and very soothing so your skin does not have to build up to it. What i would have said is if you have acne pustules, you need to clear up the pimples a little before using the q as its not a product to heal active pimples as much as it feeds the skin nutrients and heals acne scarring (post acne) best :))

Hi Nerida, I have been using the kit that you made for Kelly for almost a year now. It helped a lot with acne and pore size. I think I may have perioral dermatitis, but I’m not sure how to change my skincare routine to deal with that. I’ve tried the q flavonoid, but it makes my skin feel itchy and clogs my pores. I think my skin can’t handle the oil. I have a combination oily skin type and a lifelong history of mild-moderate eczema. Do you have recommendations for dermatitis with combination oily skin?
@NeridaJoySkincare4 жыл бұрын
You have to get a prescription cream for the dermatitis. Stop using the q if your skin is itchy.... it's not for you sadly:))

I love all your videos and I wish you lived in the UK, so I could visit your clinic. However, it's very upsetting for me when someone encourages/is a fan of disposable items for the sake of saving time. I understand the need sometimes, as I work in a University hospital myself, but my esthetician uses and reuses similar yellow pads - obviously after disinfecting them as she also disinfects towels, tools, etc. Our planet is FULL of waste already. Please, you have soooo many viewers and you could spread a nice message to help our environment. Otherwise, I am always looking forward to watching your videos xx

I have this skin type and I have been to the dermatologist so many times and they do not help at all. They prescribe me retin-a 0.1 and that just makes everything worse. I have tiny bumps on my forehead all the time. It does not go away and sometimes they reduce but its never clear of bumps. The doctors cannot even explain to me why this is happening.

Sounds like an irritation. First, stop all citrus, stop egg yokes, peanuts and all omega vitamins. Are you putting hair products into hair...do you have bangs? Are you using oil on your face? Is you skin dry on top/ oily underneath? (sub condition called surface dryness)
@sj16055 жыл бұрын
@@NeridaJoySkincare I eat 2 eggs everyday. I do eat any peanuts or omega vitamins. I love oranges. So I will try stopping the oranges. but I just stopped eating cereal so I dont have any dairy or sugary cereals; thats why I eat eggs. I will reduce the frequency of egg consumption. I do not use any oil on my skin. I use hair conditioners but only mid length to ends. My hair is very long so I do not put anything close to my scalp. I think I am surface dry. I use a lot of bha's and aha's. I use a bha cleanser on my oily areas too to get rid of the bumps on my forehead. I have an oily t-zone. It has lots of fine lines which I think is surface dryness.

On what skin types could you use the steam on for a first treatment.? We learned at school it can be used for any skin type and on every time the client comes in bc it helps open up the pores
@devon.pfeifer5 жыл бұрын
Hi Alexandra! 👋🏼 😁 Steam is okay for most people, however it is not good for someone who has a lot of inflammation and heat under their skin, or for someone who is severely dehydrated sometimes, and I would not use steam on someone with a rosacea skin, or someone who is very sensitized. You could also go without steam on a male client who shaved his face perhaps on the same day or day before his treatment with you, as sometimes when you are using active products on the skin, it can sensitize him more, as shaving in itself is a form of exfoliation. Hope this helps!
@alexandrasmith91905 жыл бұрын
@@devon.pfeifer I guess that's why we used the steam on our clients then bc we didn't have clients with that type of skin or products. And yes this helps a lot thank you so much!!!!☺
@devon.pfeifer5 жыл бұрын
Oh yes of course! I didn’t have all of these types of clients in school, but it was something I learned about. Another thing too is to be careful of the male clients who have more of a thicker or coarse facial hair... even if it is just stubble, especially on an African American guy, or anyone with more of a curly or coarse hair texture, you want to be careful of how you massage and do your movements, because for many guys, if you are pulling upward like we are normally advised, it is often irritating for men as you are moving against the hair growth and can cause folliculitis-if they don’t have much facial hair or have more patchy facial hair, then it might be okay to do what you would normally do.
@alexandrasmith91905 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks!!☺
@NeridaJoySkincare5 жыл бұрын
You can use it almost on any one for the first treatment, just not where the client has heat (very ruddy and hot) or dermatitis. If they have a small amount of Dermatitis it could also be fine too.... It also depends on how close you have the steam to your clients face.....:))
