A seven chime diesel airhorn

Monday July 7th. The Reading & Northern SD-40 had a seven chime Nathan "P" series on her. I spent most of the day chasing her. A sound you're not likely to hear on any diesel these days.

Yes this is my horn, the R&N was nice enough to let me mount it on the 3055 for the day. Its a basic Nathan P-5 with a "0" bell added, and a "5" bell which has been shortened. The chord for those musically inclined A, C#, E, F#, A, C#, E. Ed K.

When my dad was younger, he and his brothers wanted to mount a locomotive horn underneath the hood of their car and blow it behind a tanker truck at a rr crossing. Probably good that they never did but funny none the less
