Hey guys and Truck Master, gun nut here. I believe you thought that dB's are measured linearly. They're very much not! When you say, "It is a little louder" that was hilarious to me. For every six dB increase, the sound is twice as much. Your train horn at 135 dB is actually eight times as loud as the puny Chinesium weaksauce horn at 115. It is for this reason that my suppressors on guns knocking 12 dB off the report of a gunshot is an incredible difference. 20dB is insane! Great video and hilariously loud horn.

I have had the same conductor horn for 7 years. Still sounds great. You will love them. Keep the tank drained from condensation build up and change the tank every two years.

The horn blasters kit you installed on the truck sounds closer to an actual train horn. I've worked on locomotives for 6 years and it's the closes compare. The singles you tested were nothing close but still better than nothing.

For grins and giggles I would be interested in hearing the combined sound of the Musket and Motorcycle horns running together. Seems that might produce a better overall tone compared to the PsychoBlasters V2 you tested in this video. Another combination to test would be the V2 and Musket running together.

i have one of those cheap chinese horns on my car and i have used it for 2 years and it still works just fine!! + i have it connected to 150 psi compressor with air tank. It's pretty damn loud.

I dunno.... for the money, I think the China horn did pretty damn well. For something that doesn’t get used daily, I think the horn blaster musket isn’t worth the investment. The China horn hit 111db, and the musket horn by hornblasters only hit 116db. Thank you for the comparison.

True but not everyone can spend $1,800 on just the set of horns themselves. Yes if your looking for the biggest, baddest, and loudest train horns than, sure by all means grab the k5las. Preferably the raised letter. But the HornBlasters horns sound amazing and are just a little less loud, much easier to mount, and for around $500 you can get all the mounting hardware, compressor, air lines, and fittings.

I run a Buell-Strombos Duplex horn and its plenty loud. Enough to make you deaf and actually feel your whole body vibrating. Want to get another set of Buell-Strombos for the other side of the truck and put a larger air tank or add another tank to the system so I can run air tools off another tank but my engine driven air compressor only goes to like 125psi and my current tank drops pressure pretty quick when activating my horn.

no wonder the horns craps out. they will get water damaged from water and having them where you install them look at the angle you have them at :( they need to be at least 45 degrees to the truck to stop water flowing to the back of the horns and surprised you not ripped them off when off roading..
