Bro this season is so fucking hype. Ally's social curveballs actually working and succeeding, Murph having absolutely amaznig rolls, Emily being an absolute emotional roller coaster in combat but then also having all of her Wanda Childa shenanigans actually work as intended, Zac having crits on crits on crits, Lou absolutely nailing playing an artsy megapopular jock, and then of course Siobhan being absolutely clutch with her spellcasting. Top tier dimension 20 season, I honestly think it's gonna overtake Starstruck as my favorite. Each episode has been very solid so far.

I think there was nearly a moment where they were about to storm the classroom, kill him, and not actually as a bit. No other npc has come so close to getting in game, sincerely killed by out of character players with no real tangible benefit other than shutting him up.

It’s interesting how Pennyfarthing Cornedbeef keeps saying that Kristen doesn’t care, yet it’s shown each downtime that Kristen works incredibly hard to keep her campaign going, and she has a natural charisma and inherent chaos that fits so well with the chaotic nature of Aguefort’s structure! It feels like a lot of projection coming from Copperpipe Leakyfaucet and her wrathful desire to achieve what she wants.

Cornchip Leatherhead is such a fun villain, not because she's right (in any sense of the word), but because she's so wrong that it makes the heroes try even harder. Kristen's always cared, she's just been playful and silly. So saying that she doesn't care has just made Kristen double, triple, and quadruple down. Countryroad Nightstand just could never understand that, and it's so fun to watch them interact because of it.

But let’s talk about the real reveal this episode…Jace Stardiamond! Now that I think about it Jace has been present whenever something bad or evil has happened. The corn cuties and the mystery of freshman year. Jace Stardiamond was talking to Porter after both Aguefort and that one teacher died. But Fig instantly spotted Porter as a villain and no one paid more attention to Jace. In sophomore year, Jace was there when the Nightmare King’s crown was stolen. Where he literally was talking to Kalina and Ariawen! Still, no one batted an eyelash. Is it really that surprising that he’s evil? The question is, has he been planning this the entire time or was this set into motion now that Aguefort is unavailable. Plus, Jace is a half-elf sorcerer. Meaning he could be a descendent of Atherianel who gets his powers from either him(since he’s a pit fiend) or from Ankarna herself.

@@argentum909 I don’t know. As someone said below me, Kalina said Ragh’s name because it was the only one she could say. If she entered a Snakes tongue curse with Jace then Ragh is the only clue because he saw Jace talking to her. And another thought…how was Jace able to see Kalina? Kalina is a disease that can only be seen when one is affected by her. If Jace was innocent, he’d have no contact or reason to be able to see Kalina. The fact that he was talking to them makes me believe he’d been planning this for a while. Because Kalina had co-conspirators and who better to work with than someone who worshipped Ankarna, Cassandra’s wife? They both wanted their gods back and would do anything to bring them back. Not to mention, it’s always bogged me how the Rat Grinders knew about Ankarna to begin with. The only way the Bad Kids found out about her is because they heard her talk to Kristen after Cassandra’s death. They started investigating and learned of her marriage to Cassandra and connection to Ruvina. But the Rat grinders don’t know Cassandra. And Ruvinia was under Oblivati Mori so she couldn’t tell Lucy about her sister. There had to be a third-party involved. Someone who was close enough to the Rat Grinders that it didn’t rouse suspicion if they were seen talking together.

I think its interesting that there doesnt seem to be any… like pantheons? Besides Helio and Sol, in which Helio is clearly the subbordinate, I dont think any of the Gods are really teamed up in any capacity. Traditionally, you’d see people worshipping Helio, Sol and Gallicaea but just putting more emphasis on the part important to them Instead, the followers of Gods seem a lot more indivualistic and dogmatic. Oblivati Mori could never work for a pantheon

So here’s the thing (and I will be speaking from a layman perspective), religious worship in pantheistic faiths is rarely “you worship all of the pantheon”, especially in ancient times. There were multiple cults only believing in one Greek God, and there were often multiple of the same God (Aphrodite had like 3). In fact, there were basically no Ares cults because everyone at that time feared war; he was much more of a Satan figure than Hades ever was. They also lived in a time before canon, which is a Catholic invention of mandatory/approved doctrine and lore. Greek mythology didn’t have a “these gods are the most important ones and have these chronological events and specific origins” back in the day. It also follows the rules of monolatry, when people would only believe in one god, but acknowledged the existence of others. This was a time when people believed that their god only ruled over their country, and monotheists developed due to their exiling from their nations making them ask, “does my god still protect me even though I’m not within their domain anymore?”

I don’t know, I feel like it would make sense that you would have two pantheons right, the Celestials (Sol, Helio, Gallicaea and Cassandra) and the Giants (Ankarna, God of Autum, Ruvina, God of Spring) and if one was a worshipper of those faiths, you would worship all of them but a follower of the Celestial Pantheon might not bother to include Ankarna in their prayers despite the clear connection between faiths, and why the giants didnt worship Cassandra. Its just like, there has gotta be a lot of overlap between the contents of their faiths just cause the main characters all like, live in the same house It just feel that if you have 4 seasonal gods, you would celebrate them on the Solstices and Equinox. Like sure, you love Ruvina but it is the Longest Day of the Year right now, it is Ankarna Time!

Sure, in some cultures the dieties of a pantheon are all mentioned together, and their legends tied together intrinsically, but that's pretty much always a later portion of their worship, and those are usually also super localised. Pantheons are more about accepting that more exist, and pantheons change so much over time. They get adopted, renamed, modified. It's common to go to the diety that your struggle is the purview of and pray to them, sacrifice to them, for their aid, but unless you're a follower of them directly, you don't "worship" them. You respect them. The difference is massive - which is kind of underlined in DnD with like, Cleric and Paladin classes, and all the others that require a diety to get spells or abilities from. Say you worship one of a pantheon, if you have kids, you tell your kids about them, but you won't neccesarily tell them about the diety's siblings, right? Especially if they're not interested. Divinities in most pantheons exist for millennia, including the ones in Spire. Shit gets forgotten. To me it makes perfect sense that dieties (according to us) have families, relationships, alliances, get forgotten, change and develop, and I think it's pretty clear that they have pantheons. And Oblivati Mori works. Especially when all that needs to happen after a certain point is just, waiting. Mortals die. It was implied that the ones destrying mentions of Ankarna were being incredibly thorough, just weren't thinking about the fact that Ankarna had been a being *before* becoming a diety. Considering how powerful a diety is in Spire, especially very, self-focused ones like Sol, yeah they don't wanna mention others that they don't have control over because if they do, even if it's their own siblings or parents or partner(s), they might lose followers to them, and hence lose power. Helio is clearly a subordinate of Sol in power - if Helio was no longer benefitial to Sol I bet he'd just absorb Helio's followers and domain because it originally came from his domain. Or worse, might even have been his way of overtaking someone else's domain and associating it with his own by giving it to his own son. It seems to me like the case with Ankarna and likely Cassandra too was that a diety wanted them gone. My bets are on Sol. Also sorry for the rant. I simply cannot word myself short today.
