True. A religious influencer said, “Try to see the high school yearbook picture of the person you’re seeing. For a happy marriage, marry a happy person.” Too late for me, but my husband and I are still married at nearly 50 years. The stress levels have been high, the cortisol response is high, and I have the tummy to prove it. But our relationship has been worth it.❤I’m always working on dietary changes and exercise modalities to improve the belly. Yes, already meditating and breathing (sporadically).

Maybe try counseling together or watch videos about improving your relationship. :) You guys can always grow. And many times we can come from trauma so healing that can make things more harmonious.
