They hit the nail on the head with diet. People are disgusted by crows or rats eating out of a dumpster, but too many of us fail to realize that it takes a big effort for us to avoid all of the garbage foods that we've adopted over the past few decades. Why doesn't it turn our stomachs when we see humans eating it?

It is just crazy that Doctors do not get nutrition training in Medical schools. Every doctor visit should include some nutrition discussion. The majority of the population is over weight or obese leading to high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer. Schools and hospital cafeterias should be leading the way to good health by setting the example of what is a healthy meal and teaching people what to eat and why.. Every person in the hospital for heart disease should have a nutrition class before being checked out from the hospital with follow up education and training in nutrition. Medicare and Medicaid should require patient nutrition education as part of their standard of care. Nutrition information should be run on the hospital TV channel.

Yes in an ideal world. .. But they don’t make money on healthy. Money are made on sick and needy people. Why do you think they regulate food industry too. What’s “good”.. and “safe” for us. 😅 … it’s a joke. I think whoever have any knowledge and common sense of chemicals and nutrition they are not blind and know how to stay healthy at least they try. Most of the people don’t know and don’t think like they are transformed into their own “galaxy”, but if they get sick they will pop up pills to feel better. .. So there’s no problem. 👌

Good morning I just wish that we could see more older people talking about this diet and how it is working young people don't often get sick it's older people. I'm almost 71 I do realize that all people need to eat good food but I feel the older person is left out so much of the time in all studies. Older people need to see that there are many things they can do also when our guts just get older to keep healthy.

In our old age the body is giving up after long years of abusing it from us. It don’t have to be too late start taking care of the problems but we should take care of ourselves in young age. You would be surprised how many young people suffer from many diseases already.

When you consider all the people and population that are sick, I don't think age has anything to do with it. If anything younger people are getting sick when they shouldn't be
@mizzkathryn75 ай бұрын
@@eatmyshorts4727 I agree with you on the young people but they are eating out way to much! We who are older grow our own food and can everything we can as we were taught as children. My point being that those of us who try very hard to eat right are still getting sick in our guts. I am not on any pharmaceutical drugs at this time. I do use my home grown herbs and do buy a few. I have studied for so many years on health with books and here on KZbin looking at anything I can to learn how to stay healthy. I try and keep myself safe from becoming a patient taking all kinds of drugs so far so good. When you get to be my age and only see young people giving advice you have to wonder boy are in for a surprise because when I was their age I was a power house of health. The Doctors that I do see are amazed at how well I'm doing. I still feel something is missing for our gut health. I'm still gardening canning and eating healthy. Bless us all in our health journey.

@carolallison96855 ай бұрын
It might, it helps with mine. Im insulin resistant, have pcos from the insulin resistance, and im starting to go through menopause, so ive had a ton of problems from inflammation. Also, i find that stretching really helps it as well. I do a stretch where i lay on my back with my feet on the flooor. Then i cross one leg over the other and pull my knees to my chest. This has really helped too and its helped my lower back pain. If anything it won't hurt you to get inflammation down and start a light stretching program. Hope all goes well for you

Have excema & hives rashes currently & hands are just getting done with awful dry/peeling to point of non-use! (My skin has ALWAYS been "sensitive" & problematic, starting in teens!) All this & spent lifetime going to Drs for all these things - things that stole my life from me. Where was "functional medicne" all this time? Why doesn't Health Ins cover it? It "d save them $$ long-term, to boot. Useless questions. Sorry. I truly am SO depressed right now...crying. Gotta' go now.... You say we need Omega 3's, but you don't say where to get them, what foods contain them, you just say "in a variety of foods". What if you already have Crohn's Disease, and have undergone a removal/resection surgery for inflammation. What do you eat then? If only someone could actually come up with a healthy diet for Crohn's that we could tolerate, it would be a life saver. However much of your conversation is just doctor jargon that lay people can't understand, or relate to. Please slow down your talk, be clear, and use language we can gain helpful information from. Otherwise, you are just talking and we aren't getting anywhere. Thank you.
@paulcallicoat75975 ай бұрын
Eat meat and the fat it contains .Omega 3 ratio to omega 6 is the best in grass fed beef but still really good with grain finished beef.Other meats such as lamb/mutton/goat is good as well. Pigs/poultry not a good but better for humans than carbs in any form. If you can get clean fish and sea food that isn't farmed . There are no essential carbs. (Dr. Bessler MD Columbia University Department of Surgery) is just one dr. pointing out that fact. Food pyramid is a joke that is killing a lot people around the world. .No carbs are required by humans to thrive and actually cause all that inflammation. Leaky gut is caused by carbs and fiber. Too bad the doctor here didn't tell the whole truth about the cause. Eat only high protein such as eggs,meat with 50% fat.
