This felt like an “Obi-Wan invites Qui-Gon to a sit down” moment. Loved this discussion and getting to know Chris on a more personal level. I’ve been following both your journeys for the past year and I’m looking forward to what’s to come.

Great conversation. Chris is one of the most interesting, thoughtful people in the space, and you did a very good job steering the conversation to some interesting and intelligent places.

Thanks for having Chris on your show. He serves an important niche in the shoetube space. 43:24 Chris was spot on about mistakes. I didn't buy into that cadence vs. stride runner marketing hoohah. My local running shoe store had both shoes in my size. I tried both pairs and ran around the block in each. Then one shoe on one foot and the other shoe on the other foot and ran around the block. Then switched the shoes on the other foot and ran around the block. One pair stood out for me.

Great interview. I started watching Sagasu shortly after I started viewing your channel. Great to see you two together. With you we have the humor, the grit, the motivation. With Chris we have the detail and the why of things. Great combination

This was a really great video. Thanks to both of you. The main problem is that there are too many great shoes to choose from. That's why we keep searching for the best (for us). So we keep collecting them. But none of them are perfect. The marketing is focused more on looks versatility (big mistake) comfort and stack height than other biomechanical advantages. The idea of "Max-cushion" is great. Encouraging bigger individuals or those with potential muscle or joint issues to try running. But we can't forget that the traditional efficient running is and will always be done in shoes that have less than 36ish mm foam underneath. I think instead of all these max stuff, running shoe companies need to just work on: Sizing according to the type of running shoes they are making (ie. Superblast 2 had to have the Mizuno Neo Vista's upper and fit), the shoe upper specificity the geometry and the foam type to be the ideal balance between bounce energy return and soft/hardness.

🎯 spot on. And they should include the target foot striking preference in marketing materials also. So much hype on metaspeed series or AF3 for example but a very narrow heel that seems to the advantage of mid to forefoot strikers, not ruling out heel strikers by any means. Just that the design of the shoe compliments X stride over others. Mizuno might be one of the only few that dontjatb

Ah two of the three peeps I have memberships in one place . (I would subscribe to Tim Grose in the UK first and formost but he never has the option ) . Great Interview , I tend to listen to Chris's vlogs as a pod cast while I work and only stop to look or go back at Lunch if a chart or graphic is required to be looked at. I regret I did not get to meet up with Chris in 2023 when we ran NY .. but there was 50000 peeps and even the BITR shake out had a huge amount of people.

I put the Saturday live on hold for the holiday but my work schedule changed as well so it looks like only Wednesday for a bit. I have Tuesday off as well now but kofuzi does a live stream Tuesday so that won’t work
