This was the perfect Spring day to paddle our canoe on the Chattahoochee River. This stretch of the Chattahoochee River is located from just below Alpine Helen to the Sautee Creek bridge. This is one of the most beautiful parts of the Chattahoochee to paddle. The water is crystal clear and cold. The river is stocked with Rainbow Trout and has native Brook and Brown trout as well. A wonderful place to fish. The banks of the river are full of native plants, trees and flowers. Rhododendron and Mountain Laurel are just some of the foliage you will see along the river.
