We went out this weekend on a 2 day canoe/kayak trip down the hooch from Whitesburg to Franklin. 27 total miles. I videoed the second half of the trip to show the different shoals along our trip.

When you said, "I'm not sure what time it is. I'm not sure I care," I immediately liked you. Thanks for sharing this, man. I've got a Mad River Adventure 16 I've been paddling for years now and I love it. Got a Pungo 140 kayak for Christmas; can't wait to get it wet!

Hey reeperz, Did you find while you was canoeing the newnan to frankin part of chattahoochee that you encountered a lot of rocky shoals scraping the bottom of you canoe? Or did you prettymuch have a free float all the way down? Thinkn of purchasing a new but lighter kevlar canoe for bigger river waters. Didn't wan't to buy the heavier royalex canoe unless it was really needed for this river-run. Thanks!

Most of the river was flat water. There is only one place really that now matter what you have it will scrape going over the small rock falls.
