I grew up during the eighties and the OBX-a, Jupiter 8, Prophet-5, CS-80 etc were all considered top of the range at the time. I can understand wanting newer synths with several effects built in but for me there's something about these old classics that give them a character without all the extra bells and whistles the same way a guitarist collecting different axes due to difference in timbre. A Les Paul with Humbuckers doesn't sound the same as a Stratocaster with three single coil pickups. When I can afford it I will DEFINITELY be buying a UBX-a and I'm eagerly awaiting both the JT-16 and Pro16 from Behringer.

I’ve never been into Moogs. Mostly the expense and then the polyphony. I know they have polyphonic synths but, they tend to be the most expensive. Moog is the Mercedes of synths.
