Still use Eurodesk Mx3282 mixer without any problem . And use now the synthesizers and again without any issues. Years ago I used Ensoniq (VfX, SQ80 = Problems )Oberheims , Marion systems ( problems ) Alesis Andromeda ( after a month broken screen) I don’t believe the Behringer negative comments anymore . Brands are not better.

Had my Gray Meanie BARP since release and no problems so far. You're right that it plays with the Moogs very well, as it does with other Behringer gear (Neutron, PRO 1 etc). I also enjoy sampling it with my Elektron stuff. I thought that Behringer had gotten over their quality control issues of the past, but it seems not quite. I have a fair amount of their synths and mixers and never experienced any real issues. I only had one of the big mixers die on me after about 16 years of work and even then it was an external rack PSU failure. I still have it, just too lazy to fix it! lol

Their first product was the composer compressor (1990 i think) , still have the original , still works , some of their worst we're the mid 90s rackmixers , bad pots and switches and broken traces

My first Blue Meanie 2600 the VCA section died and Sweetwater sent a replacement the next day. 1 year later it is the center of my studio paired with the Barp Odyssey. I have 34 vintage synths and just about all of the Behringer synths. Just got the Kobol and that sounds fantastic

I use mine daily. The 2600 With the Behringer Pro 1. That's my main analog. Btw, I also use a sequencer because I love step sequencing. I wish for the arp sequencer by Behringer to come out. PPG as well.

I'm a year into mine as well. As a 61 year old guy, I grew up fascinated by the synth sounds of the seventies. And with some research, I found that most of my favorites sounds came from Arps. So, I had to have the Barp 2600 when it came out, and it hasn't let me down! I'll be messing with it until I die! My first one got sent back...bad slider light, and it would drift WAY out of tune. The replacement has been perfect.

Thanks for the review. I am finally getting into synths. I am 64. Their are lots of synths I lusted over when I was a kid, but never had the coin to get any. I now have a couple Sequentials, Moog and some other nice synths. I am looking forward to getting this one, along with the Odyssey. Feell I am supporting the "original" companies, so I don't feel bad about buying some Behringer gear. Makes some synths affordable for us amateurs.

I have 4 behringer mixers, the old one output section died. one new one, effects crapped out, other 2 are good. old effects unit died, old RTA/eq works great. DM12m needed new LCD screen (thx for sweetwater's 2 yr extended warranty, whew) 2600 is fine, ms1 came with a dorked out key but i quick fixed it and didnt return it, vs-mini is perfect, but it is also new. so ya, half my behringer gear has screwed up. At this point, i am also going to take a break from behringer. I look what pros have on stage. they have mostly roland and yamaha and nord. some korg and some controllers, but 99% is nord, yamaha and roland.

Hi you mentioned modular. You're 2600 is close enough for $$$ . And time . All the 2600 needs is an appreciator or a quantizer. Stay away from modular. My friend do not get a mini. Setup, if you have gas do not do not beware. Beware, stay with what you have coming from previous gas. Modular guy

Thanks man I’ve been avoiding it for years and you’re right. No need to go down that rabbit hole!

@@traitortotheliving I was 7 k $$$ in . Constant patching . Tuning . Organizing the rack . Total waste of time money and creativity . Semi modular are way cheaper if you want to add to the 2600 . Cheers

The way and the point of the workflow in your studio is roughly the same as mine. I have an MPC one and soon also a B.ARP 2600 which I sequence and sample from the MPC. It couldn't be avoided to notice that you have a Moog Matriarch which is also a bit of a dream for me to get my hands on. And I can't resist asking you about how the patching/synergy between the ARP2600 and the Matriarch is ? I can only imagine that these two instruments must create something absolutely magical together... Thanks for some exciting inspiring videos.

Thank you! That’s actually a Grandmother which is really fun to use with 2600 and I should explore that more. I’ve always wanted a Matriarch maybe someday I’ll get one.

As a musician and audio engineer for almost 40 years, I've owned or used quite a bit of Behringer gear over time. I've been burned by the poor quality too often, and I'll gladly spend more on pricier gear. If Behringer works for some people, great, but I'll never buy their products again.

I’ve been producing for over 40 years. And I’ve had more issues with other gear. Moog, a few duds there. Sequential, poor pots & buttons. Polybrute, 2 keybeds replaced. Roland’s being the exception, my J60 still going. Beh certainly cut on some aspects of production, but they’re no less reliable than the *cough pro priced gear. Teenage Engineering… It’s a bit of an old wives tale these days with little to no substance.

Hello, I would say your experience is definitely of the old days of behringer. I have almost 12 of their synths, and almost 12 of their eurorack modules. Not a single issue, not even for a second. I would highly recommend you give them another chance! It’s a different company, and their stuff is solid now!

I bought a sub 37. Handmade artisan American Moog gear. By the time I had my 3rd one I got one that worked properly, and the headphone jack died after a few months. Shoddy.

Thanks for the awesome video, I think I will hang onto mine for another year although I don’t use it much I really love having it for the same reasons (R2-D2!) Also, I pronounce Behringer the German way, which not a ding to you, but I know most Americans pronounce this incorrectly. Also not a hater of the B word, I will call mine The BARP going forward because of your awesome video. Also, +1 on the quality issues. I have a ton of Beringer products and have been lucky so far but I understand from watching all these videos that it’s like rolling the dice. Very very excited for some of their upcoming products such as the Oberheim. Thank you I subscribed!
