River Forest is home to roughly 11,172 residents. It is situated approximately 10 miles west of the City of Chicago, with easy access to public transportation. For more than 140 years, it has remained an attractive community with rich architecture, beautiful homes and friendly residents who take pride in calling it their home. The village is closely tied to the larger neighboring community of Oak Park. There are significant architectural designs located in River Forest such as the Winslow House by Frank Lloyd Wright. River Forest has a railroad station with service to Chicago on Metra's Union Pacific/West Line.

about 20 or so years ago my buddy and i would take mushrooms, cross north ave and walk around that town all night. river forest has very nostalgic shroomy memories for me.

Beautiful, I have driven thru back in the 70's. Not where the common peasant resides. I lived near O'Hare where a jet would roar over my house every 15 seconds.
