We fitted a watermaker to our boat this year. I can recomand the powersurvivor 40E, we bought it from Daniel after they had ended their journey you can see on the channel sail to fly. We have 300W solarpanels an d we can run the watermaker about 5-8 hours a day if we want.That is about 28- 45 liters of water, Normaly we run it 3 hours a day to get all our drinking-, cooking- and showerwater for this day.

Reminds me of when I was a child we spent some time on Koolan Island, in the Kimberleys of Western Australia. The iron ore boats would bring water from Wollongong, on the Eastern Seaboard as ballast which we would pump into the tanks for the towns water supply. Sometimes things would get a bit rough when we were waiting for a boat to come in, tanks would run low and it would mean that the tanks had become a bit toxic, people would get unwell with gastro for a few days. Definitely worth it for the lifestyle though, what a brilliant place to grow up... ;-}

Indeed they were! Able to scoop 1200 gallons in 10 seconds and deliver to the fire promptly. Very impressive machines and purchased by many governments for fire fighting.

Fire?! Hey, didn't you guys just come from that side of the island?! Sea urchin spines dissolve easily in the acid of urine. It works great, ask any surfer. ...Or, you could try viniger.

AS ALWAYS thank you both so very much for your time and editing and sharing your video's, The morning, My Hubby came to my desk with our morning cafe and he said, "Your eyes are of the dreaming sort this morning" I removed my ear buds and looked up and said, "Would you like to know why? And so I restarted the video and we watched together! What a wonderful way to start the day, with a dream!!!! He is a Aplini, he can swin, but he is scared of the deep blue! My hope is that he will continue to watch and we will sail! We do Kayak and have done so in some rough waters, and we have sailed on Lake Como! So my hope is that the more he watches that perhaps I may tempt him to take a sail with sailors that know how to sail! I know how, but he fears my style of sailing! Kinda hanging all ten if you know what I mean and all out! Perhaps I was not the correct teacher. lolol

Dear Sailing Magic Carpet couple. August??? I completely missed the date point! I really thought that you have still summer in the Mediterranean Sea and I was a bit sad after realizing. Maybe it was my kind of naive pipe dream!? Maybe you are already back to the Bodensee shipyard? I'm curious to see where the boat will be stored this year. You definitely met some great people last year. 2) I wonder if there are no recipes for jellyfish. I bet that the Japanese and Chinese people eat jellyfish. I remember a great comedy love movie with Steve Guttenberg etc.p.p.. ("Don't tell her it's me"). It has a really good story and in this movie Shelley Long (I absolutely adore her) serves jellyfish salad to her guests but nobody seemed to like it. 3) Please allow me to ask: Wouldn't a water maker (even a small one) help? Of course not the model/type the Mariner Kevin Costner used in the movie "Waterworld"! :-) ;-) But It seems that you had a lot of stress to get water this time. Unfortunately there is no Diesel making out of salt water yet. But maybe in the future there will be a hydrogen maker and you will run the complete boat with a fuel cell... who knows... time will tell. 4) If you follow the harbor masters suggestion you will need a bigger boat. And a bigger camper/trailer for the winter also :-) ;-). A Catamaran or, even better, a Trimaran for instance. Children with you two as parents will/would be great for sure (very good looking, with a very good character, decency and discipline). Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health.
