A Short History of North Carolina

This short history of North Carolina starts with the settling of the failed Roanoke Colony to modern North Carolina

Some were here in 1565, Juan Pardo around Morganton and 1585 the English settled Roanoke. Drake perhaps dropped 900 settlers in Roanoke around 1587 and there were tribes in NC that likely had European DNA, the Cherokees are one tribe that seemed to have European or Semitic DNA and the Croatans likely had some European DNA and may have settled the Outer Banks around 1540
