Honest question here: Do you think living in LA with a comfortable climate somehow messes with your immunesystem? Because it seems jesse as well suffers from alot more colds and flu since he moved there.

I feel like I used to get sick way more often. I would guess my immune system has gotten stronger from being at conventions all the time and NOT using hand sanitizer constantly. Jesse definitely gets sick a lot but I'm not sure what the difference is tbh. I used to get sick about once every couple of months and this year I can't remember the last time I got sick. Even this time, I woke up today feeling great and only had the sickness for 2 days so I dunno!

im pretty sure moving where she lives has nothing to do with it now. As far as i know dodger has live in la for years. also disease spreads faster in cold climate and she just came from skiing where someone in that house was sick. But yea the immunsystem getting shocked depends on how big the enviourment changes are and usually last for up to a week.

It is difficult, because you kind of need to get sick so that you have all the antibodies there to ward off getting sick again (at least with viruses and stuff), but at conventions you can be exposed to so many new bugs that your body just collapses.

+Alan Griffin. It is because your immune system has fought off most of the infections in your area and developed an immunity to them. When you move somewhere new, you are more likely to come into contact with one your immune system is not used to. While she was adjusting to that high altitude it could have weakened her system just enough for an infection to sneak in but took a few days for the symptoms to appear. So she could have picked it up on her snow trip and it is only now letting her know it is there.

I think a larger part of it has to do with the smaller amount of people they interact with more so than climate. After all it isn't cold weather that makes you cold, as much as it is the fact that cold weather causes people to stay indoors, leading to more interactions and closer quarters with people, making the spread of germs easier. Since they all live and work in a reasonably isolated fashion (small group of people, and ones like Dodger and Jesse have their own offices) their exposure is relatively low even to one another, let alone to the outside world. Compare that to the exposure someone gets working in an office or retail, and there's a big difference.

I totally get the urge to clean when you're sick. I get it when I'm sick and when I'm feeling down or sad. You can't make yourself feel healthy, and you can't make yourself feel happy when you're sad, but you can make your surroundings clean and pretty, which lifts spirits. Feel better!

The ps4 play while you download is always getting screwed by the devs. The whole point of it is that you load up a limited area for the start of the game where the player can start the game while the rest is downloading. But most devs just give you the menu like Ta Da! now wait for the full game to download.

Vicks Vaporub is always a life saver for when I'm sick. I also drink lots of ginger tea with lemon and honey. And I avoid dairy at all costs. Hope you get well soon! Being sick is the worst.

Little trick I picked up in nursing school: instead of throwing your head back when swallowing pills, tuck your chin into your chest as you swallow. This positioning shortens your pharynx (throat) and protects your larynx (airway).

Pour 2 cups of water into a bowl squeeze a lemon and drop the rind into the water put into the microwave and turn it on for 3 minutes then let it sit with door closed for at least 5 minutes. Should help get rid of the popcorn smell.
