Thank you! Doing just one a vice and care is all you need, but I do like to dial stuff in and do repeats.

What a great idea! I've got a ton of unused sockets. I might try it.

I was so please the day I first tried. Its fairly easy to do just with loose sockets in a vice. Lining up to hammer is a different prospect. I might try a draw bolt through a hole. I'm itching to try "tongs" that wrap round both sides of a sheet but hold alignment ready to hit with a hammer.

Really impressive metalworking technique from old junk just laying around in the workshop. I will try this.

The problem is knowing what junk to keep and what's in the way of getting anything done at all. Oh for the answer to that one...

I'd like to take the credit but its an old idea shared. Two sockets in the vice is easier than you'd think as they sort of self align as the little one goes down inside the big one.

Really fantastic idea!!!...My 1928 Morgan is mostly wooden with aircraft cloth over it...After or maybe during the project I want to build a 959 kit car on a completely restored VW pan and a turbocharged six cylinder corsair engine..or maybe a supercharged VW engine...lots of ideas..

What cloth did you use? As well as Austin 7 specials I love the cycle karts and there are some cars and trailers with cloth, some canvass, some linen, some the modern one (Dacron?). My experience only extends to painted canvass for traditional boat decks but I'd love to try aircraft styles.

@@thedoingnotthedone Ceconite..My girlfriend designs upscale clothing..In that line of work she has been asked if she could design the outer skins for older airplanes...As soon as I said I had to find some type of cloth to "skin" my 1928 Morgan/GN (Mg) and she immediately said just get me ceconite and I will help you with the outer covering...She also said they used to use a plasticizer that was some type of nitrile..As a chemical engineer I know of numerous plasticizer compounds now..Because I am using a BMW "airhead" opposed twin motor possibly with a turbo as well as an MG manual 4 speed transmission with an MG differential and beautiful spoked wheels that it would probably considered a restomod..I do not have access to GN parts like you do in The UK.. Evidently there are more GN autos than were ever originally built when they were in business. I do not have a JAP engine so I figured I would use a BMW that I had already as well as an older mG that I sold the engine and original transmission from..I will definitely stay in touch and we can help promote each other's channel..I will let you know when I have the first video on sourcing the Drill press/threading station...-John

I've seen that car at hillclimbs and racing. An amazing machine.

@@thedoingnotthedone Oh WOW!!! that is so cool...I believe that we need one here in the states...It is going to be quite a project but I want it to turn out perfectly...AT first I am going to use the BMW opposed twin and the MG trans and diff with the spoked wheels ..Then I am going to try my hand at making a GN rear from scratch as well as casting a bottom end and building a JAP engine from scratch and then unveiling it at some show and maybe even bring it to England to bring them together just like the JAPPIC...The guy who built the replica never thought his would meet the other relics and it eventually did and it was a huge success...
