Most people, I know have tried mixing 30% methylated spirits with 70% water. Just don’t spray in the heat of the day, and to be safe, first test a small area on the plant to see what sort of reaction it has, if the plant looks fine after a few hours then give it a go.

Thank you for this! My lemon tree has some of these issues. I just released lady bugs-will this spray harm them? And am I understanding correctly that this mixture is just oil, dish soap, and water? Am I missing an ingredient? Thanks so much!

You are correct, the ingredients were at 3:50 (a tsp to a tbsp of vege or olive oil, a tsp of detergent added to water). I assume it was to a litre of water looking at his spray setup later on. I notice he opted to just spray with the detergent water in this video.

I use metho to get rid of Mealy Bugs ect. It is very laborious but very effective and would work on those bugs to, I learnt it at a wholesale indoor plant nursery many years ago.

I was infested around the flowers not under the leaves . I used high pressure water to remove them. lost a few flowers but the lime tree was loaded. Did the camera man call you a malaka??? I think there will be a new cameraman next episode. LOL

@@dilmacollison7614 yes just water when I have aphids around the base of the flowers.i also use a pump spray bottle to knock them off as well because the pressure from the hose is much stronger. As for eating the leaves. If it is leafminer you can find information on vasilis videos on how to combat that. Good luck 👍
