I was attracted by your headline of "one simple trick" for amazing wide angle photos. After spending 16 minutes on your video, I'm still trying to figure out what that trick was? Was this video mis-titled or something?
4 жыл бұрын
I'm slowly going through my "watch later" list and it makes me realize how many landscape photographers use clickbaity titles that are barely discussed in the video. I'm glad I looked at the comment section after a few minutes of watching because I could still not figure out the title of the video. At least now I won't have to go through yet another vlog about tripod, filters, and f-stops...
@Centauri274 жыл бұрын
@ Many KZbin videos have "click baity" titles, but this is one of the most egregious examples. I should've done what you did--read the comments while watching, instead of wasting 16 whole minutes on it.
@Wrecksy3 жыл бұрын
@@Centauri27 If you're watching solely for one magic trick that will make you a better photographer, then you're doing it wrong. Nigel's videos are full of good information. There's no silver bullet trick to make you better.
@Centauri273 жыл бұрын
@@Wrecksy Nope, not looking for a silver bullet. I watch many photographers across different channels for ideas. Video titles are important to catch your attention. This particular one teased, but did not deliver. If you read the other comments, I'm not the only one who felt this way. However I don't doubt that Nigel's videos have good information!

The "simple trick" is to take several images overlapping the scene then *stitching* (NOT "stacking") them in post. There are some focal length restrictions, and it's best to do this with a level tripod, but not required. Practice around the backyard to get a feel for this before hiking a mountain. Both Lightroom and Photoshop do a good job, but Photoshop is better at auto aligning and blending the stitched images together. *I just saved you **15:40**, you're WELCOME!*
