The original system shock had analog leaning.. of course the original system shock shared more controls with Arma then it shared with any of its contemporaries.. granted you had to mod the game at the time to bind them into something useful cuz they expected you to use the mouse interface to control everything, as was a tradition at the time in the transition from adventure games to FPS and 3D.. thankfully that didn't stick around.. But yeah you could, dive into prone, lean out a specific amount, change your height stance analog as well.. something I've been wanting to see make a comeback for a very very long time.. and I kind of wish PC peripherals had evolved further to allow for that kind of thing to be commonplace.. but unfortunately we got stuck in a 20 year time loop with the dual analog controller base design as the blueprint for almost all game development.. so good on this feller for taking us back to 1994 in that alternate timeline I wish could have been :-).

Man this is insane, and it starts to bring some big questions like, this is a solo Dev. RoN, GB, what the hell are they doing? What is their excuse? RoN still sleeping on one of the most important and basic mechanic for a game like this wich is turning off the lights. GB sleeping on a basic gore system, i haven't been playing GB because they deactivated the little blood splatters, i know it's silly but it's a small but big detail for me, you're shooting a gun after all (If someone know if they're back please let me know). I hope OPERATOR comes with a decent optimization when it drops, kudos to you Dev, and thanks Fry for video!

Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield was the first game to introduce that lean mechanic by mouse. Arma 3's was clunky, but at least allowed you to aim while making the adjustments.
@jakedill1304
@jakedill1304 Жыл бұрын
The original system shock has that beat by a few years.. although the controls were such a mess and you needed to mod the game in order to reassign them or make any semblance of them because they wanted you to play the entire game with the mouse by default or at least that was their thinking... Fortunately, they kind of crammed in every way to play.. and through mods you could actually do some really cool stuff.. I kind of wonder if the modern tactical shooter evolved from system shock, because honestly like in first person gaming.. the original system shock has a lot more in common with that development tree branch off then it's sequel.. But yeah you had fluid lean, fluid prone, you could even dive into prone for multiple different directions using the number pad.. or you know a reasonable set of keys that you reassigned..

I didn't fully move on from RoN, but Operator takes more of my time until friends wanna run raids in RoN. Oh and this maps enemies have had updated voice lines. Alone they make this game well worth a purchase IMO. Keep up the good work vector.
