Just found out about this game today, added to wishlist, and only a few hours later it releases! One thing I am curious about is how to reset your profile or start a new game? I lost some progress early on just learning the mechanics and now have a virtually empty stash. Should I just reinstall or is there a folder somewhere I can delete/in game setting? SPT Staff here, We have no idea on what to do besides continuing on with the project as long as there is a community that wants it, BSG doesn't want to talk when we try to reach, they never reached to us. We basically sit on the aspect that we all love the game, not necessarily the company, while we have nothing against them and are against any attempt on users to harass others who are against us for some reason, on the other side any mention of us on their lands will get you banned from the discord. As far as it goes, never in our entire project life was anyone banned in live EFT from playing this, including staff and developers. The only issue we have is they striking youtube and twitch users, even though we strongly push for people to have an official copy bought for SPT and banning users the instant we see they have a pirated copy, besides that SPT carries anti-piracy measures. SPT is the best thing in EFT. Without SPT, EFT for me would be almost dead. I probably would play solo with AI from time to time even without progression just to have fun with weapon mechanics and character movement mechanics but nothing more. With SPT many people can play as they want and mod things to their liking and have tons of fun. I freaking love SPT and mod comunity! (i did some moding for myself too. So much fun!)❤‍🔥

Well the problem here is the fact that the game is actually just terrible. The fact he's comparing it to tarkov and promoting it is shitty. It's genuinely terrible, even for an alpha build. Terrible optimisation, total rip off inventory system and bots that act like black ops 2 bots.

To me, this might no be as big and known as tarkov, but just by the fact that it is in steam, it becomes TEN TIMES more affordable. Tarkov in my country costs around R$300,00 wich is insane considering our minimum wage is around R$1200,00. This game, on the other hand, costs R$40,00 in steam. I realy hope this game survives and receives more and more content. As a Stalker fan, single player shooters like this have a special place in my heart.

The big problem with EFT is the devs force you to PVP. Close spawns, gamers all want the kills etc... It rare to see people actually do the missions and cooperate. Its all about the most kills. EFT turned into a glorified deathmatch.

I definitely see more tarkov in this game than i have with other games dabbling in the extraction shooter genre. Will there be ping limits imposed? Biggest turn off from tarkov for me is not being able to play with my friends from across the world due to ping limits. I get people want the lowest ping possible to make the game run as smoothly as possible but for us casual players I’d be happy to sacrifice my ping for the ability to play with my friends no matter where in the world we all live. Maybe have an option to play in ping limited servers or open ping servers as a solution if there is a problem

I love SPT. And finally someone is actually making a game that is effectively SPT if it were it's own IP. I'm going to be following it's development closely. Although right now it's a little too bare bones for me in my opinion, if the developers keep with it, in time it'll come to rival Tarkov. Tarkov started off with just one map and not a lot of features and has grown significantly from those humble beginnings, so I hope the same thing happens with IRR.

I feel like Extraction style PVE really on works if the Ai in the game is crazy good and there's like an entire battalion of them in the zone your attempting to raid. A game i've been playing that gives me similar feelings to Tarkov, but its Single player/Offline, is The Anomaly mods, Modpack G.A.M.M.A, for S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadows of Chernobyl I wish it had Trakov's inventory management but its got the Guns - Gun attachments - Med systems - Traders. It has base building in the form of being able to place furniture in the game world. Its has Survival elements (Food Water Sleep). You have to turn on/off a couple mods in order to have Magazine management but its not to difficult. Its also entirely free to play, you don't even need to own STALKER SoC. It has difficulty settings to make it harder, you also have to contend with the environment from Zone wide storms, that will kill you if you don't find shelter. Radiation hotspots, Mutated animals, Enemy factions, and because its build off the mod anomaly mod you'll have to navigate through somewhat supernatural/Environmental traps that are littered throughout the world. Since the mods built for such an old game it has its quirks and can be really janky at times and can also seem really unfair. You have the option of just playing the game normally IE: making saves, when you die you reload that save, or you can Play in Ironman mode which allows you to limit the amount of times your allowed to die if you excede that number all of your saves from that playthrough are deleted. There's also a Soulslike option which instead of dying another Stalker takes you back to a safe location and you wake up at a spawn point that you can determine by sleeping in a bed. you get a bottle of water and loaf of bread and you keep whatever medkits you had in your inventory. You'll have no weapons or armor and you'll have to make the trek back to your body When your in the early stages of a play through your less likely to lose items but in the late stages you can lose Pieces of armor, or weapons med supplies etc. There's also the potential of being ambushed when you get back to your body. All of this is customizable. if it sounds interesting i recommend it, it can be fun and eat up a lot of time.

I feel like the main reason why i dont enjoy extraction shooters is that I'm pretty much forced to play against other players in some capacity and be forced to put up with the problems associated with it, every run feels like much more of a risk than it should be because either the prevalence of hackers in extraction shooters (namely EFT and The Cycle, back when that existed) or my internet becoming unstable and the game forcing me out because of the ping limit. Similar isues plagued COD DMZ (and especially Warzone), but runs weren't massive investments. I could easily loot back up to a _decent_ point if I were to lose my stuff, so I felt more comfortable even if I had to put up with the occasional hacker, DC, or just dying because I suck. I've always wanted a co-op extraction shooter where I can gather a squad of friends and not have to worry about any "BS" that might happen along the way, so I'll keep an eye on this game.

It's already lightyears ahead of tarkov in some aspects since AI is more advanced than run around and lock onto a plauer on the other side of the wall while walking backwards.

Maybe those devs can sort their problems out before trying to artificially create other problems. Maybe then I wouldn't want an offline mode so much. It's true. I've been searching for an extraction shooter game that is offline. It's not like I don't like pvp but some game that have optional pvp always have that one player hunter. For example, DMZ MW2. I got good gear but second I'm done looting and trying to extract. There's one team camping the extraction point. Idc if they loot my stuff but no they just want to kill. I've got my revenge once so yea pretty satisfied for that. I just hope this game is polished and don't have overpowered bot. That's it for now.

I can understand why the Tarkov dev team (BSG) wish to concentrate solely on the multiplayer/PvP experience. But to actively take measures against people who wish to play their game in a solo/PvE method (like SPT) is just idiotic. It's not like stopping you will force everyone else who wishes to play solo/PvE to happily switch to online/PvP. They gain nothing but wasting your time and theirs. And, they lose a huge audience who would have been happy to buy and play their game as a modded solo/PvE experience. So, huge shoutout to Games of Tomorrow for creating Incursion: Red River to fill in the demand for a solo/co-op PvE extraction shooter, and looking forward to seeing it become a well-rounded, fully-featured hit. I played that Tarkov mode but not for long as i didn't want to take the time to memorize all the maps, the learning curve of that game is huge. Played Cyber Hunter's Loot Lord mode for a while but servers are basically dead and you can't play it solo. Will try this one. Tbh. the fact these sorts of games are inventory management simulators is probably the reason why i started playing them. I suspect people who like these sorts of games might also like crafting games like Factorio, maybe Thief Simulator too-both pretty easy to get used to but Factorio doesn't take that much time to learn and get used to the game mechanics. So much that you could play through several smaller games by the time you start enjoying it.

EFT chads when you tell them you want single player/coop, or you play SPT : "you're scared", "game is not for you", "beta", "lame loser", pussy" also EFT chads : no job, no relationships, just a full time slave to a video game that does nothing but either boost ego or induce rage with all due respect and honor to the exceptions, I'm fairly certain at least 60% of EFT players literally have no life. The concept is superb, but the game itself as a whole is WAAAAY too grindy for someone with a job, social circle, and a stable life. Incursion RR and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. are right up my alley.

Casually play an extraction shooter is what I want to do. EFT has a very high learning curve and too many try hards, I normally would simply deal and "git gud" over time but I don't have that much free time to invest. SPT was fun but it was a bit of a hassle to get the game AI/economy to hit a sweet spot and not be unfair or too easy so I eventually gave up. My go to for a while was Lost Light but its now flooded with highly competitive try hards and on certain maps campers, not to mention they have made and continue to make so many changes to the game most being not great.

I hate Lost Light. Trash P2W game with lots of cheaters and tryhards. As for campers, that's more of you having a skill issue in not knowing how deal with campers... if not getting smacked around by P2W/Predatory Progression preventing you from making good builds. Tactical/Milsim games generally require better strategy than just running around. IRL not camping can easily get you killed, among other things like wearing bright colors that are easy to spot.

@@Nurse_Xochitl I personally do not think its P2W. Leveling doesn't really do anything and the premium discounts on in game stuff isn't significant. Loot is easy to obtain which means money is easy. Hell within 3 days of playing after a wipe I unlock about 90% of all the guns and attachments. What else is there for it to be P2W? Its literally just for the status and the tiny discounts. Far as campers go they're a pain in any game. Skill issue or not its a common issue on majority of games.

@@TheFps12 Loot is far less easy to obtain when you get thrown into matches with cheaters and tryhards. Also you can spend money and buy better gear immediately, like better bullets for example. It is P2W and nothing will convince me otherwise. As for campers, learn how to stay hidden (avoid open areas) and learn how to flank. Learn how to use grenades tactically (don't just use them wastefully). Campers are not an issue in any game, running around like an idiot without awareness for surroundings is.

I purchased this the other week, and i'm the same about just wanting to play solo or coop, I love the idea of extraction shooters but just don't like the PvP side. this game is enjoyable from what i've played so far and just hope they keep this going as they have done a great job so far.

That’s all I play is SPT. It’s so good. Cool thing is you HAVE to have a legit copy of eft which shows that the modders do care about BSG and not trying to take anything away from them. In fact I’d argue it helps their sales for SP extraction gamers

I tested the game these days but unfortunately I had to return it because I couldn't play it properly, I need to buy two things, a new video card and glasses, laughs and, incredible as it may seem, an Oculus here in my country is costing the price of a graphics card. video, but as soon as I can I will be playing!! The only thing that I dislike about single player - coop focused Fps is the Ai. If the AI isn't fun to play against then the game gets boring really fast I haven't seen a modern single player fps with good Ai yet
