Excellent review Trenny of the Glenfarclas 105, this something I should really pick up since I am lately on a cask strength kick. One last question. How does Canadian club 12 compare to forty creek? I saw it cheaper than forty creek. I know you guess taste a lot. You guys talked me into getting wt101 today.

I personally like the Forty Creek better, but the CC12 is decent if you’re into caramel, burnt toffee flavours. Where the Forty Creek is almost more maple. Hope that helps.

I had some cask strength Macallan about 5 years ago. Absolutely delicious. Haven't seen another one. Really nice color on that Glen. Wish I had some right now.

I really like this dram. But you must, MUST add water or at 60% it burns the taste buds off your tongue and you don't get all the flavours.

Wouldn't you worry about being arrested and castrated for drinking whisky during the call for prayer in a Muslim country? That takes balls, Trenny... When I was in the UK recently, at The Whisky Jar in Manchester, I had the opportunity to have a dram of Ardbeg Supernova Committee Release! It was *NOT* cheap... To follow through on that Supernova, I had some 105 and found the sherry refreshing even at 60% after the onslaught of intense peat.

With all due respect, but that prayer reminds me when i used to go on heavy metal bands shows, and the singer started to shout like chanting, and then he asked to the crowd to repeat the same chanting, crying, or singing sound like that yeyeyeyeeeeeee!!! And the crowd did the same!!!!! And they did that in differet ways, oaoaoaoaaaaa, yeeaaaahhhhh, and so on!!!

NAS?? I thought that was the "105"?! Love that local glass mug. Being over there with so many muslims, are you learning that tongue waggling, "Aiiliilii~~~" war cry they do?? The Glenfarclas should form a protective coating inside the glass, I think it is thick and viscous. Noticed your new buddy / owner timed his visit perfectly with the 105 tasting!! I enjoy the Glenfarclas 12 year and haven't seen this 105 any place around town in Myrtle Beach. Does this count as an electrolyte in that hot weather? CHEERS!!
