Try and hit up saguaro lake on the way back down the hill- lunch on the patio overlooking it is nice 👍😁

You guys should check out Madera Cayon and Chiricahua National monument. Very beautiful and good hiking trails. My go to spots when I was stationed in Sierra Vista.

Your response to the shroom “coffee” was so cute. Ive never been a coffee drinker and I was completely enamored with the health benefits of mushrooms, BUT … Ive never really liked eating mushrooms. My reaction to a mushroom drink was exactly like yours. They really are good!! I just cant believe the campsites you continue to find. Those on this trip appeared to be amazing. Thank you for sharing, as Im living vicariously through you at the moment. In a few years, I hope to venture west to see western sights in-person. 😁

Had to laugh when Vince said “How did we live in MN?” My husband and I just had this conversation yesterday after living in south Florida for a year and born and raised in northern MN it was 48 degrees yesterday morning and we were both complaining how cold it was and said to each other how did we make it in MN where every morning was -20 to -40 below in the middle of winter. Hahaha
@JeanieMarie Жыл бұрын
It's crazy how you adjust to temps. When we lived in MN we thought nothing of it - we were used to it! Now we're at the other end of the spectrum! LOL

I think a lot has to do with age also and how our bodies change! Since turning 60 five years ago I find myself getting cold a lot more!

Yes I like our ponderosa pines much much more than colorados Douglas pines !

Hmmm. So you depart Colorado to escape the cold temperatures. And for your first Arizona camping trip you travel to Payson…where the temperatures are cold!
@JeanieMarie Жыл бұрын
We wanted to see that area before the snow started, because you won't find us there when it starts snowing... so yes, that's what we did! 💁♀️ camping in cold temps vs living is cold temps is two different things. We never said we were never going to camp in cold weather again!

We were wondering, now that you’re living in an apartment, where do you park your truck camper? Is there space?
@JeanieMarie Жыл бұрын
We have it in storage. We couldn't park it at our house in CO either (per the HOA), so it was in storage there too...so no different for us.
