I bought the identical flash with a brand name Neewer. Model NW320 on amazon for around $70. So far I've only used it outdoors in bright sun to address harsh shadows. Works very well. I have the same complaints as you ie can't rotate the head but I love that it's small.

I'd ordered the Neewer sister to this flash, the NW320. I wanted a smaller flash for my a6000 and also wanted the TTL function. Although the 320 doesn't have as versatile a movement range and eats batteries like crazy, I loved it for the size, TTL feature and LED video/focus assist lights. It worked well for me for several months, then unfortunately, I was using it at my granddaughter's birthday party and I heard a loud pop while taking a shot. That was the end of my NW320. To their credit, Neewer has offered to replace/repair it as it is still under warranty. I already replaced it with a larger, more feature-packed Neewer NW880s, but I'll be sending the 320 back shortly. Like you, I find the big flashes are very cumbersome on the a6x00 bodies, and I miss my 320. Good review!

hi thanks for the review I have this flash and it can rotate 90° But I also have another flash which is better: the godox tt350s it has HSS (high speed sync), it has a built in bounce card and it has the ability of wirelss transmission

Hey, nice review! Just want to tell you that I own a similar flash for more than a year now. It runs under a company called Dörr in Germany and this version (Dörr DAF-320) is in fact rotatable by 180 to the right and 170 to the left. The only problem I'm having with this flash is the lack of a cheap ttl radio trigger set. I'm using the youngnou ones and had to fiddle with tinfoil and tape to line up the contacts, since this flash is ttl capable and the radio triggers aren't. Also 4 instead of 2 battery slots would've been a better choice in my opinion. But besides all this, this little flash is handy, compact and more than useful if used right! Keep up the great work, always enjoy your reviews!

I just bought an a6000 used & it came with a neewer NW320 - the same flash under different branding & I'm suprisingly impressed by it ... it gives a good quality light ..& on the lower power settings gives a nice subtle look to indoor images ...will have to try it outside day & night

I have the Neewer branded NW320. It will rotate 90 degrees to the right and 60 degrees to the left; but not completely to the rear. The usb port is for charging if you install rechargeable batteries. It works very well; even shows a charging "gauge" on the main display and the LED glows while charging, going out when it's done. I've had mine for about six months and have used just one set of rechargeables; recharging when needed. The unit works well on my A6000 and my A68. And is small.

Thanks for the review. I got one and discovered that I can turn the flash to a different angle by just loosening the locking circle just a little. Doesn't seem to disengage the flash as long as you don't turn it too far.

Hi, I have the exact same flash, and in fact this flash is able to rotate left and right. It surprise me a lot that even after several months of usage, I didn't figure out how to manually adjust the brightness of this flash (LOL). Good vid tho.

This is one great traveling flash. Had the Olympus and Sony version and sold it. Unfortunately it does not do High speed sync. You need to get on with the Godox/Flashpoint flash. For the same price, it can do much more. If you can, test the Flashpoint mini. Sure love to see how well that works.

Great review. Regarding how the MK320 compares with Godox TT350s / Nissin i40, it is not as feature rich since it could be had for a faction of the other two (in the States, at least). The MK320 is really a budget choice for a decent a6XXXX flash that could TTL without breaking the bank.

To my understanding, most of the forums or reviews suggested Godox TT350 or Nissin i40 for Sony APS-C E-mount as their sizes fit A6X00 series. It would be great if you can do some review on these two. I own the i40. It is awesome :D

I have been looking for a low profile flash to wear on my A6400 or A7iii when traveling. I love the Canon 270EX-2 and have been looking for a comparable unit for my Sony cameras. I have a pair of Godox/Flashpoint TT350S flashes but those units ride high in the camera hotshoe. Riding so high, combined with the flimsy plastic hotshoe of the TT350S worries me when I am carrying the combination on a black rapid strap...

I wish that there was a flash the size and configuration of the Canon 270EXii for the Sony A6xxx cameras. But, there isn't, so I have two Godox/Flashpoint tt350S flashes which are my travel lighting kit. I can use a flash on each of my two cameras (A6500 and A6400) if I so desire or use one flash on camera and control the second as a slave using the unit on the camera.

I use a Godov TT350S flash on my A6500 but even that small flash is to large to safely wear on the camera when i am using a Black Rapid strap to carry the camera. Wish I could find a tiny flash like the Canon 270EXii for the A6500. I also have a tiny Viltrox flash for my Canon cameras that even has TTL capability but, the Sony version is worthless. It not only doesn't have TTL, it cannot be adjusted manually. It has only one power. The manual states the if the image is too dark - increase the ISO.

Bought the Meike MK320 and initially loved it......but I notice there is a lag between the time I press the shutter button and the time the flash fires when shooting in manual mode on a Sony a6000. When I shoot with my Canon 430EXIi attached there is no lag. The flash fires at the exact same time as the shutter does. Did you have the same experience with the delay? The delay is about half a second.

I'd love to see a profile of this flash on an A6xxx camera next to a Godox 350S flash on another A6xxx camera to judge the differences in height. I like to carry a camera with flash mounted. If the profile of this flash is lower than that of the Godox, it might just be an option... I worry about the security of the 350S when I have the flash on a Black Rapid Strap. It seems to me that a lower profile flash might have less chance of breaking that flimsy Sony Multi Interface Shoe if the camera accidentally knocks against something hard...
