One thing I like that I didn’t think I’d care about was the bluetooth app, but I actually really liked it. I’m surprised you didn’t demo the app. I think the only way you can lock the touch panel is through the app (so buttons don’t accidentally get pressed). I also liked that the app showed the voltage being used, and of course the temperatures

I really like this fridge. It did really well in my testing. If you were going to use this fridge for camping trips throughout the year I would recommend it. I tend to disagree on the battery, as it offers flexibility. It is a great feature, and the capacity may increase with time while fridge power consumption will stay the same. So what is not enough today can be enough tomorrow. Here in Australia, that brand is sold under the ROVIN or Brass Monkey. I use a 7.8Ah on my 18L, which is affordable here in Australia (less than USD$100), and a 15.6Ah for my 45L (I agree, that one is overpriced). The main reason I like the battery system: I do not have a dual battery setup in my car, so I enjoy that Lithium Battery kick up when I stop the car. Very useful during long road trips or simply when doing grocery shopping and do not want to rush home immediately after. On the 18L, my 7.8Ah battery lasts 5-6 hours in fridge mode, which is perfect, for a long picnic (you can carry around the Brass Monkey 18l, it has a large handle. Basically, it is like Esky bag) and 4-5 in freezer mode. On my 45L, it lasts 8-10 hours in fridge mode and 6-8 when mixing, which is enough for a day out when left in the car. The other benefits? When doing light camping (1 or 2 nights = minimal setup) using the solar panel 100w foldable from ROVIN (bought it for USD$50) that plugs directly in the fridge, it can definitely go through the night without a problem and recharge the day after. Australia can be hot in summer, so it really pushes the limit of energy saving for the fridge while camping, but we also have the sun starting around 4:30, so it is compensating. Honestly, I enjoy not carrying around my 120Ah lithium battery + box + 245 foldable solar panel for just an overnight camping. Conclusion: Using the battery mode is not to replace fully a larger lithium one but to give extra peace of mind or accommodate specific situations. When you have it, it is difficult to buy a normal fridge again.

I just got one of these and i dont agree with him on the battery pack that fits in the fridge to be honest its a great add on for those going on road trips and make many stops where its setting in the car for hours or even less, most cars make you have the Key in the ignition for the 12v accessory port to be powered this is where the battery pack shines, you can be away from your car for 4-6 hours and put the fridge in Eco mode running on that battery pack from Bodega, food stay cold and car battery is safe....its a no brainer, Maybe not a good idea to mainly use this as a main power source but excellent for stepping away from the car for a few hours, to be honest if the long term reliability of this fridge is good i think it has just about everything going for itself.
@Jasonoid3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment, you are right! That's an excellent way to use the built in battery pack! For anything longer you'd need more storage but for short little bursts that totally makes sense!

@@Jasonoidwhat do you think on the quality of the compressor given you have seen the inside of many 12v fridge, Also in your reviews can you please add the amps the fridge pulls which is very important when plugging these into a vehicles accessory port, the watts are good to know but current draw is very important.
@Jasonoid3 жыл бұрын
To find the amps, you can use the main electrical equation. Just take the watts and divide it by the volts (Volts X amps= watts). So if its drawing 35 watts / 12.8 volts is about 2.7 amps, not many apps at all. This fridge has great build quality, I didn't see any issues with the setup.
@Lavoss053 жыл бұрын
@@Jasonoid Thank you Jason I was worried about the Amps after I bought it and my socket is rated at 10amps/120W with a 15 amp fuse so looks like I should be good. I watched another one of your videos which I'm glad I did even though I wasn't going to buy the fridge you reviewed but at the end you talked about the 12v plug having some Voltage drop do you think that will be a problem given i will mainly be using it?
@Jasonoid3 жыл бұрын
Voltage drop will only be an issue when you are running it off the 12v socket in your vehicle when your engine is NOT running. The alternator isn't charging the battery and the vehicle wires are usually too small which lead to voltage drop. When the engine is running the voltage is plenty high, usually around 13.8 volts or so. You also won't have an issue running the fridge off the internal battery when that has power. To be safe you can set the battery protection to the low setting.

Is a really nice budget Dual Zone option!
@Jasonoid Жыл бұрын
So after watching all those videos which one is sticking out as your favorite?
@NoZenith Жыл бұрын
@Jasonoid I think what I want to do is get a box that's the same size as the glacier and see if it fits in my situation. I'm still not sure which has the best interior space either but the eagle flow really seems to be at least bulky for the amount of interior space. I did like the 45D for the lower price and still convertible dual-zone but it looks like the gallon of milk with kind of snug and the rest of the fridge space being up on top of the Shelf, did it stays cool at the rest of the fridge or is it one of those warmer spaces that people complain about? It also kind of look like the freezer section was more narrow than in the ecoflow Glacier as well. Is the glacier significantly more long since you don't have the space on top of the compressor as interior fridge space? I'm trying to figure out how it gets as much volume with the icemaker compromise and yet still look larger inside... I'm assuming it's shorter but wider? I would love to go car camping in just my VW Golf, the plan was to take the back seats out and put a platform in it then push the passenger seat ahead and extend the platform into the rear passenger footwell... I want to have a fridge with me and a Power Station. everything else should be relatively flexible so I could just toss solar panels in wherever, especially for have a rooftop box and I was planning on doing that up converter to increase my charge rate from 12-volt to somewhere above 24 volt as it turns out the Volkswagen Golf GTI has a pretty robust Bosch alternator from the factory. Period. The iceco go20 honestly looks amazing, but I really don't think it has quite enough capacity for what I want to do in Long haul road tripping on a budget and keep some leftovers too 😀... I CAN'T DECIDE. Really wish I could just go somewhere and put my hands on all three of them and decide which one fits my space best 😮💨

Hi! A question. After letting it sit 24 hours I powered it up, set the freezer side to it's lowest temp setting, made sure all 4 sides were unobstructed, room at 77F. A 16oz bottle of water did not fully freeze after being in the freezer for 8 hours. That was on MAX setting, not ECO. Is this normal? The temperature in the freezer side seems low enough. Bad seal maybe?
@Jasonoid2 жыл бұрын
Hey Randy, the best way to see whats happening inside the fridge you'd want to use a 'fridge thermometer' of some sort. You can buy them off amazon for super cheap. For some of my fridges the display temp will be off of the actual inside temp so you'll need to adjust the temp higher or lower to match what you want. This happens on all brands I have tested, some displays are more accurate and some are off by a little bit more. I'm guessing the temp isn't a low as the display is showing? I have been able to freeze my water bottles in the past but it requires the temps to be near 0F or lower. If the temp is EXTREMELY off what the set point is then you know you have an issue.
@randydicotti39752 жыл бұрын
@@Jasonoid Thank you so much Jason! I think this one is bad because it's set to -4F and on MAX mode and still didn't fully freeze the water and this was in an air conditioned office in the 70's. Oddly my laser thermometer and dedicated wireless fridge thermometers all say it's around 7F inside. I can imagine it would be much worse if it was in a warmer environment. Could be the seal maybe. This one is headed back. Thanks again for this video and your replies.
@Jasonoid2 жыл бұрын
@@randydicotti3975 Yeah, if you have it set to -4F it should have frozen that water bottle for sure! I haven't ever tracked the time to freeze on something like that. Try seeing how long it takes to freeze your water bottle in your full size fridge to see if it compares.
