Bought the M7 last week. Its a freedom with not having to turn on the pc just to watch youtube, netflix or spotify. Then pair it with a nice bluetooth speakers, now I can work with my ipad pro alone and only turn on my imac when i really need to. i can never go back to 'dumb' monitor anymore.

If 32" is too big size wise already; would it be a bad decision to for the 43 inch M7 one? The 43" model costs marginally higher than the 32" in my country. Also, I will mostly be viewing content on TV all the time or working on Excel sheets/Tableau on my monitor, attached to M2 Macbook Air. "Bigger is better". But, I am afraid I will be seeing broken/torn up pixels when I am working while sitting at my desk; so close to such a large 43" monitor. Give me some advice to help choose, please?

I’ve had the M7 monitor for about a month now and it’s a 9/10 for me. I use it for work connected to my M1 MacBook Pro which works flawlessly. The colors aren’t as good as the MacBook but for the work I do it’s perfectly fine. I also noticed that the screen has a somewhat faded look in some areas because of the back light bleeding. But overall it’s working as it should.

10:00 that's so wrong. The new laptops and mini computers use onboard ssd units. those units have limited write and erase capacity. Especially if you are a mac user m series chipset on board that's a huge problem. If you use this monitor, you won't get tired your pc and onboard ssd while watching streaming service such as Disney+ Netflix and Amazon. Those services loads plenty of data on your pc or laptop while watching the content.

Thanks for the review. I have the M5. However, when wireless screen sharing from windows to monitor, the mouse on the monitor is always an arrow. Even on links where it should change to a hand icon or on text areas where it should change to a single, vertical line. Seems like the monitor is overwriting the the signal from the pc and using it's own cursor. This is really annoying and the click point is not precise. When typing it's impossible to click on two letters. However, on my LG smart monitor this does not happen. I have tried two different laptops, one is win10 and the other win11 and three different mice. Nothing changed. Did you or anybody noticed this and is there a solution? I have called the customer support and they told me I should use the monitor with wired connection!! Thanks.

The Samsung Smart Monitor M5 is a great monitor and is perfect for your needs. If you don't mind that it only has 60Hz refresh rate, the monitor is fine for gaming as well, especially console gaming. We like that is has good and loud built-in speakers and it comes with a remote. And...the price is good too. We found the 27in M5 selling for RM899 on Shopee. Top-up RM100 more and you get the 32in. It's a good buy.

Is this better than prism+ X300? So I just FOMOed for prism+ X300 for the price tag "DISCOUNT" which is a lie since that the price tag for the whole year. Tbh I have been looking at this Samsung M5 way before I found prism+ X300. When I look at the height measurement... kinda hate it, just few more mm compared to my laptop height. Idk if I want to refund or maybe resell it or just use it as vertical monitor could be better and Im no longer into gaming 🤣
@soyacincautv Жыл бұрын
The X300 has fast refresh rate going for it and not much else. No built-in speakers, can't use it as a smart TV and it doesn't come with a remote. If the fast refresh rate is important for you then look elsewhere than the Samsung Smart Monitor. You also mentioend that you're no longer into gaming so not sure what else having a fast refresh rate is good for. However if you're looking or a display setup that can double up as a TV for you to sit back and watch some shows, nothing beats the Smart Monitors. They are good in other areas too and the M5 is usually on discount. Good time to buy.
